Honestly would rather see Tuanzebe than Smalling, unless Tuanzebe is going to be in holding midfield behind Herrera and Pogba.
I'd be happy with that.
I don't mind Darmian as he's pretty solid defensively and balances out Valencia going forward a lot more often.
Big game for Smalling or Jones, whoever plays (could be both as you never know with Jose) as it could not only decide thw final it could decide their United careers as well.
In midfield I would go Herrera just behind Pogba and Mkhi but it'll probably be Fellaini who gets the nod.

I thought he was good in midfield yesterday and, if Jose comes out and says he'd get the chance in DM next season and doesn't sign a midfielder, then I'd be happy to go with that. It may be a risk but it's a risk that has our club's tradition at heart.
He's a better holding midfield option than Fellaini, that's for sure.
Personally I think Jose is going to pull another of his tactical masterpieces off - by disguising his back 4 as a back 6

I can see Jose playing defensively minded and not going to war with an attacking team like Ajax. So Darmian offering nothing going forward suits Jose.

Unsure of Fellaini and his fitness yet, he was having tests etc a few days ago and Mourinho hasn't said anything since, I think he'll be fit to make the bench.

I think it will be Lingard too, but having seen Ajax play a few times in the Europa this year, I really think Martial could do them more damage. They've been very naive in their defending, leaving big gaps and Lingard isn't really the man to make them pay for them.

I would have thought we'd see a midfield three of Carrick behind Herrera and Pogba, with Rashford between most likely Lingard and Mkhi. Mata and Rooney should be on the bench in case Ajax score then sit deep.

Arguable he was our best player that day.Personally felt Axel was by some distance.
But my point is Martial doesn't deserve a start in the EL cup final.He's had a terribly underwhelming season,certain aspects of his all round game deserved to be questioned and other players who've offered more throughout EL deserve their spot.
For the time being Martial is a decent option off the bench.

I'd be happy with that.
I don't mind Darmian as he's pretty solid defensively and balances out Valencia going forward a lot more often.
