He is shiiii

That's okay we're a friendly club and will help him fit in.

If true he's a bargain for 500K

I would sooner us spend £500k on Curtis Davies than £5m on Flint or Hanley. Im not the Manager or owt but if thats the deals we are looking at then its a no brainer. Im looking forward to the central midfield rumours soon. We can not continue the season with what we had plus a George Thorne. It does not work. Whatever combo we tried. But Forsyth,Thorne and Martin back will help no end.

By far the best value compared to Hanley or Flint, if rumours of prices are correct.

Looks likely to be done today. Far better value than Hanley or Flint.

Great signing

Not many better, if any, central defender in this division than Curtis Davis

Welcome Curtis

Much prefer the spelling of his name to the other C. Davis'.

He sounds like just the type of import we currently need.
I think, much to the delight of that overweight fellow who says a lot about DCFC but does not come to games, he is most likely to displace Richard Keogh.

Welcome to Derby Curtis Davis.

Not so sure on replacing Keogh Ramdini. Davies is a left sided defender. But im much happier with this signing. A proven quality player at a fraction of the price we were talking about with players no better than what we have. Davies IS better than what we have.

An asset definitely. At 6ft 2". his height is good too. We are a bit shortarsed as a side.

Short-arsed and lightweight.

(For the benefit of Spart, Skill is a mandatory requirement)

# I'd prefer to see Wisdom come in, if the rumours are true. Nevertheless, happy.

It's just been announced on Sky Sports news. 2 year deal with option for a third year for an undisclosed fee. Good bit of business in my opinion.

Excellent signing. Hope he's made captain. Obviously the end of Derby career for Keogh or Pearce.

I genuinely hope it's Keogh. Four years of failure. Must be time for him to have a 'new challenge'

AJ, Nobody except 666 and you think he has been a failure. But I agree it is time for a change.

But we do need back-up defenders.

As usual, lack of facts backing up statements - bit like the political manifestos!

So, to compare CD with "mad-eyes" in a championship season - 2 years ago.

shot accuracy - both 33%

Passing - both 82% - both 20m average (to the other CB generally)

Defensive actions - CD wins 12 to 9 per game

Errors - Keogh wins - 1 for him to 2 for CD (ie he made less/fewer errors)

Duels won Keogh won 60%, CD won 54%

Both the same height - 1.88m

CD is 32, Keogh is 30

If Keogh is going, this is a like for like replacement and nothing more.

Still, at least we have signed someone who knows what it is to get promoted

Yes that's right Ramdini. 666 and I are the only two Derby fans who think Keogh is crap.

If Keogh isn't a failure, kindly point out to me what he's achieved in four years, besides an abysmal goal scoring record and average defensive ability.

AJ. I'm no fan of Keogh but he's far better than average at this level.
But, like Chris Martin, I don't think he's make it in the Prem and, as we need a clear out, I wouldn't make a fuss if he left.

He's certainly failed as a captain, the incoherent, arm-waving mardarse him.

Let's be right though; today is about celebrating Curtis Davis' realisation of his boyhood dream to wear the famous black and white... we'll mark the inevitable occasion of MistaKeoghOUT Day with its own festivities.
Congratulations, Curtis, on your dream move

Thank god it's not true.
Someone said we'd resigned Claude.

Over his career, Davis scores every 17 games in league matches compared to MistaKeogh's 1 in 30... and Davis has been playing at a higher level on average.
