She had 331 seats, a majority of +5 more than the 326 required to hold government. She's suggesting if she didn't get an overall majority (ie lost 6 seats reducing her to 325) Labour would form a coalition with the other parties big enough to form a government with Corbyn as PM. Basically she has no allies, except UKIP I suppose but they look like losing their only seat so have nothing to offer her.

Turnout thought to be high in Hartlepool, a key marginal. Around 70%, top Labour folk tell @garycaltonphoto. That's up from 57% in 2015.

May will be gone this time tomorrow. She didn't have to call this election.

I am reading a typical Labour win in Sunderland. But not official yet.

Newcastle about to declare

Sinn Fein may take up seats if they have to to form a coalititon with Labour

Newcastle have beaten Sunderland to the post.

Labour HOLD Newcastle upon Tyne Central.

Labour won't form a coalition. Will be a minority government if the polls are right
