Easier said than done but he could've taken a knee to recover from the right hand and the low blows. I had him 1 point up at the time of the stoppage, but Ward would've leveled things up after that round.
Bivol for me is the top talent at 175, followed by Gvozdyk. Obviously you have to rank Dre above them because they have to prove it, but I would pick both to beat him.
I've always sensed some vulnerability in Kovalev, very good skills, but his toughness/durability has always been a question mark for me. I've seen him get put to sleep in the amateurs, he's been hurt by smaller guys in sparring and apparently was out of his feet against Boone in the first fight, although there's no footage.
Kova also showed us he's somewhat limited, very sharp jab and right hand, but not much else. No body punching, very uncomfortable at close range, no hooks, no uppercuts, no short punches at all. All 1-2s.
175 is fire right now. I like Dre but when it's time for him to fight my man Bivol, we gonna take that 0!
It was a good right hand that hurt him, but it was the low blows that set it up.

Btw Kovalev's output was much higher in this fight than in the first one, that must've also played a part in him gassing. He's never had the best of engines so that must've taken its toll. He also got hit more because he was throwing more.

Beterbiev is very good but I don't think he's as skilled as Bivol and Gvozdyk. He's definitely the biggest puncher and best on the inside, but I think he can be tamed from the outside. He's somebody Ward would have to stay on the outside against.
I think Beterbiev beat Gvozdyk twice in the ams, once by stoppage, but that was a long time ago. Gvozdyk doesn't take a very good punch from what I've seen, so Beterbiev could stop him again if he can close the gap, but Gvozdyk is extremely accurate and sharp with that right hand, if Beterbiev gets reckless he's hitting the floor.
These guys are all monsters though, I would like to see any of them fight Dre, Kova or Stevenson.

Politics might get in the way of that, but I would love to see it. I'm not sure if Ward agreed an extension to his HBO contract as a part of this Kova rematch deal, cos I can't see Stevenson coming over to HBO for the fight.
Ward, Gvozdyk, Kova are on the HBO side, Bivol, Beterbiev and Stevenson are with Showtime/PBC, so we can still get some great fights.
