I think Rashford’s problems are cumulative. He’s not looked the same since his back injury either.

Kounde would be a good signing for Chelsea. Part of me thinks he’d be a better signing for us than Varane, but I do think we need some proven winners in the team so it addresses the need more than a young defender like Kounde.

There’s a rumour that Sevilla want Belotti, didn’t they learn from Immobile?

17 days until the season starts and we have no new RB, no vast improvements in midfield and a maybe slightly improved defence.

Can't wait for another midtable finish next season

Yeah as much as I'd have liked Kounde I'd agree with that.

Chelsea's right side could've been lethal if they'd have got Hakimi and Kounde. They still have a good player in Reece James though.

Arsenal aren’t really trying to sign Ramsdale are they?

Apparently we've had 2 bids rejected and now we're contemplating going for a 3rd one or going for WBA's Sam Johnstone instead.

Neither are particularly inspiring choices really.

A lot of these football experts and coaches seem to rate them both, but I heard similar stuff when we signed Mustafi as well and we all know how that turned out...

If it was a choice between them, I'd probably choose Johnstone. Cheaper and a viable number 2.

Johnstone looked good. Ramsdale looked like the worst keeper in the league. Maybe he’ll get better as he’s young for a keeper, but just seems like a daft signing for Arsenal right now. But daft signings and Arsenal have become synonymous in the last few years.

For whatever reason, and I'm not entirely sure why, but some goalkeeping analysts on YouTube and Twitter think Ramsdale has huge potential and has the makings of a top goalkeeper.

I've never rated him personally, but I don't watch him every week either.

I was browsing a Sheffield United fan forum and they all think he was their best player from January onward and are desperate to keep hold of him.

That being said, I don't think it's a signing we need to spend £25m on and I think we have other areas of the squad we need to invest more in, especially as we won't be in Europe, so the need for a second-choice goalkeeper is less urgent.

It’s a lot of money that could be put to better use. I thought you’d be pretty skint this summer but it does look like you’re going to spend a lot of money.

Is Kroenke going to invest his own money? I read he did to get Partey last summer.

Yeah I’ve heard a few on the analysis community hype up Ramsdale which surprised me as in my mind he’s as good as Gazanigga

posted on 27/7/21

He’s legitimately England’s fourth best keeper.

posted on 27/7/21

I’d have Pickford, Johnstone, Hendo and Pope ahead of him

posted on 27/7/21

Yeah sorry I meant fifth. Maybe sixth if Heaton is as good as he was before his injury. Incidentally, there will be four keepers from our academy in premier league squads if Johnstone gets signed by one.

*three I can’t do numbers today.

Not great to go off but he looks top in the YouTube training videos you see. I thought he was worst keeper in league till watching a few of them, granted if I saw any top level keeper train it’d prob change my mind but still.

I think Sam Johnstone's always been a decent keeper ever since his days at United.

It'll be interesting to see what we do about our own goalkeeping situation this time next year.

I'm hoping Dean Henderson will get a chance as number one this season but I'm not sure if he'll be good enough long term.

So it looks like you might be taking Tuanzebe on loan Andy.

Who knows We've been linked to a lot of big money signings this Summer, but hard to tell if it's just speculation, agent talk or being used to get a better contract offer/move elsewhere (e.g. Locatelli).

I still think most of the players we get this Summer will be heavily dependent on who leaves.

Bellerin was linked with a few clubs, but now it's gone quiet.

Xhaka's move to Roma seemed like a formality, but again, it's gone very quiet (rumours are that Roma don't want to pay the £20m fee we want).

Then there's still uncertainty over Willock, Nelson, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Willian and Nketiah.

I thought a lot of those players would be gone by now, but we seem to be struggling to offload them. Presumably because the level of clubs interested in them don't have the cash to prize them away.

Let's see what happens with outgoings. Any future incomings will be dependent on reinvesting the money from the aforementioned departures more than KSE's involvement IMO.

Yeah I saw that about Tuanzebe, can’t say I know much about him tbh

posted on 27/7/21

Ah I see. I can’t imagine you’ll raise too much from those players. Arsenal’s financial situation seems a bit unclear, though.

I’d keep Tuanzebe as far away from Bruce as I could.

In the least bit of surprising news, Pogba has turned down a new contract

Oh well. Hopefully he still stays a year.

I’m not sure how Utds team lines up. Still some big questions marks and I think you can only really accommodate Pogba & Fernandes if you clone Fernandinho and reduce his age by 5 years

posted on 27/7/21

Bissouma is the answer.

I just enjoy watching Pogba play, so would rather he stays even if it causes some balance issues.

And it would annoy loads of people that hate him if he left on a free again, which is always a bonus.

Though if we could get good money and sign Tielemans I would be fairly happy with that.
