Probably better off at Newcastle where he’d start more games.
Apparently La Liga are selling 10% of the company to a private equity firm for €2.7bn. And will relax the salary rules.
Helps Barca. Apparently Madrid aren’t happy. 🎻
I would hope he'd still feature quite a bit for Villa, otherwise why go there? Perhaps they'll be looking to rotate a bit more and compete in all competitions this season.
The thing about him going to Newcastle is he played a lot at RB under Bruce at Villa and didn't really get his chance at CB until Smith took over which wasn't ideal.
Maybe they will in the cups, though they might not even play that many games, but in the league it seems unlikely they’ll rotate either of Konsa and Mings. They’ve developed into one of the best cb partnerships in the league, and it’s just not really an area a team rotates once they’ve established a good one.
I get what you mean about Newcastle, but they’re not well set at cb due to the lack of quality and injuries they have there - and they often play with a back five. So he’s got a better chance of playing.
don't know about this new La Liga deal tbh
Seems a bit dodge
private equity firm taking over 10% of La Liga
It’s Spain, of course it’s dodgy.
With the news of Ings joining Villa, perhaps they'll change to a two striker system with three CBs and that will open the door for him.
I have some hope left Tuanzebe could still play a part at United but if we were looking at things from a selling perspective next summer, unless Newcastle get taken over, Villa would be in a far stronger position to make us a decent offer for him if his loan goes well and they're willing to sign him on a permanent deal.

What an absolute shambles.
He’s going PSG isn’t he. What a boring signing that would be.

My heart bleeds for Perez.
Barca
Barcelona's implosion has been so sweet to watch. Hope they rot in hell
Could be the best thing to happen to them for years. They’ve been delaying the inevitable for years, and really need to sort out their ludicrous wage bill.
Guessing no one cares Grealish just signed for City then

think it's a good deal for Villa, if they spend the money wisely
wouldn't surprise me if Grealish flops at City tbh
he's a good player...but not that good...and certainly isn't worth £100M
It’s a ridiculous fee, but he could potentially be incredible for City.
Could be good news for England, especially if Pep can sort his off the ball work. Southgate might have more trust in him if he develops that side of his game, and gets experience at he highest level.
Reports saying he's on 365 k a week I love watching him play, but that's absurd. He's not elite like that
I’d be surprised, isn’t that more than KDB?
My mistake, it's 370k PW as per the telegraph comes with the transfer fee I guess.
Think it’s if all bonuses are met over the length of the contract. You’d suspect they’d have some stuff like balon dor and winning the CL in there. Liverpool did that with loads of their players, apparently their bonuses were massive when they won the CL and that they actually lost a lot of money because of it.
I bet Man Cs r pppiiiiiiiiissssseeeddd that they signed the terrybul Gruelish 5 minutes b4 Messi announce he was availabul

Barto really left them in the shiiiiit. Clever move to blame La Liga for it as well.
