The thing about him going to Newcastle is he played a lot at RB under Bruce at Villa and didn't really get his chance at CB until Smith took over which wasn't ideal.

Maybe they will in the cups, though they might not even play that many games, but in the league it seems unlikely they’ll rotate either of Konsa and Mings. They’ve developed into one of the best cb partnerships in the league, and it’s just not really an area a team rotates once they’ve established a good one.

I get what you mean about Newcastle, but they’re not well set at cb due to the lack of quality and injuries they have there - and they often play with a back five. So he’s got a better chance of playing.

With the news of Ings joining Villa, perhaps they'll change to a two striker system with three CBs and that will open the door for him.

I have some hope left Tuanzebe could still play a part at United but if we were looking at things from a selling perspective next summer, unless Newcastle get taken over, Villa would be in a far stronger position to make us a decent offer for him if his loan goes well and they're willing to sign him on a permanent deal.

Think it’s if all bonuses are met over the length of the contract. You’d suspect they’d have some stuff like balon dor and winning the CL in there.
