Why though? You still won that season and faltered against a team that’s better than you and outplayed you. It’s still a successful season despite a poor game.

Try actually never winning anything and then just chucking it away time and time again for a variety of dumb reasons. Even though England games have historically hurt me more.

Because matches where there’s some sort of hope are different. Tbf maybe being a United fan it’s different because something like that doesn’t really happen. But like being a bit shiiiiit you can of accept it. 2011 wasn’t the same, for example, because our team was nowhere near as good as the one in 09. It’s tough to have arguably your best team ever get humiliated like that.

I mean the game more so than anything. Obviously it’s worse Spurs losing that final than it was for us for the reasons you’ve stated.
