We’d be bottom of our group without Ronaldo.
That’s probably Lewa nowadays. His record recently is insane.
R Madrid playing poorly at the Bernabeu so far this season
Too used to playing at the smaller stadium.
We are peks, but we're in transition and the way it's looking will continue to be in transition for at least a year or two more. We've still got a fair bit of squad rebuilding to do.
Yet despite that, we're still in a position where we can at least continue to challenge on both domestic fronts, and we even made the CL semifinals only last season.
And when you look back at our recent record, 3 league titles in the past decade might be a comparatively poor return, but 4 CL triumphs more than make up for that.
I'm quite happy to cut them some slack.
By the way, I was pretty surprised at how angry and vindictive Liverpool fans seemed to be towards Atleti, not just on this site but elsewhere as well. After both matches too.
I realise Atleti probably tried every bit of shhithousery known to man, but I don't get what it is that riled the scousers so much considering how comfortably they won last night and that they left Madrid with the three points.
Doubt they'll admit it, but my impression is that they were still sore over their defeat to Atleti two years ago.

yeah the 4 CLs titles in recent years is an amazing achievement.
I just hope even though we're in a transitional period, we manage to win la liga regularly whilst Farza are in such a mess
I'd like to think during the 2020s we can win twice as many league titles as them

Seems silly to think along these lines really given it’s such a long time in football.
Ah, that's the other half of the story.
Watching Barça flapping about like a dying fish is as sweet as any league title, and at least for the time being can be enjoyed every week!
Watching Barca in the Europa League will be weird.
I also love that they aren't even getting 40,000 in the ground for some games.

scored the winner late on...otherwise it would have been a world record 10th consecutive draw
Same. I reckon we’ll be looking at their manager soon.
It was one of my wums a a little while ago, I googled their manager last season because they broke loads of league records in the Norwegian league in 2020, some of which Ole had set, and they’d only been in the league three seasons. It’s actually really impressive, and probably is actually better than Ole based on what they’ve achieved there.
Think Ole’s biggest claim to fame in the Norwegian league was ending Molde’s (I think that’s his team?) winning run
He won Molde’s first league title in their history. He won two, but they’ve also won two without him.
Oh right, I just looked at what it was - his second tenure was bookended by league wins either side of his tenure
Ah yeah I did know that. People have been taking the piiiiss for a while now saying he can’t even with the Norwegian league anymore.
Napoli players had bottles thown at em after Mertens scored a Panenka pk against Legia Warsaw and celebrated by yelling "Fook Juve" at their fans who r 'twinned' with Juventus ultras.
gotta love Europa League. much more fun than sanitized PG rated CL.
