Rumours a U.S. investment group is close to buying out the 40% stake owned by the shareholders who control Sevilla.

There is an amusing level of backtracking in football where a team criticises X or Y and then it happens to their team and you can enjoy watching the fans squirm.

One example was the Arsenal fan's U-turn on Welbeck.

The current one is Liverpool with being a cheque-book team. The best takes are the one saying its all bought with the Coutinho money, with one guy seriously saying that the team is being paid off by the Sterling, Suarez and Coutinho sums

As a Madrid fan, I'm appalled at all these PL clubs resorting to throwing money at their squads and hoping something will stick. The PL's become a bleedin' circus.

If only more clubs would follow by the Madrid example

Seems only Spurs are, nowadays.

Are Real Madrid still going? They will struggle to get over 1,000 fans now Ronaldo has gone. Might as well close the club.

I think selective financial reporting is one of my favourite things about football fans. We had people who moaned after spending the Bale money as well, back in the 'net-spend' trophy days.

To put it in perspective, IOAG. With the sales of Hierro, Raul and Royston Drenthe - you signed Ronaldo

No. We signed Ronaldo (along with Marcelo, Varane and Casemiro) with the sale of Ronaldo.
