I see Trump’s put his foot in his mouth again. He gets more ridiculous by the day.

Is that possible?

Yeah I did see that actually, it’s so weird and unbelievable

Having said that, the most ridiculous thing he’s ever said was this the other day:

The guy just says the first thing that comes to his mind. Boggles the mind how he's president.

It appears we're trying to sign Donny van de Beek.

Excellent source too.

Jack Grealish > James Van Der Beek

posted on 6/6/20

I like him but like Grealish I'm not sure exactly how he'd fit in.

Grealish would be good competition for Bruno and Rashford. Our depth in attack is crap.

I absolutely get the argument about depth but I don't think we can really afford to spend even if Villa go down, a fairly significant amount of money on somebody who may not be guaranteed to start every week, especially when we've more pressing concerns elsewhere.

Depends how much he costs, I suppose. Sancho and another attacker sound like our main targets this summer. I’m actually fine with that, even if we don’t address some other areas, as we’ve seen improvements in terms of depth and first team quality as the season has gone on.

Lingard, Pereira and Dan James are average players. Jack Grealish would make our attack better.

I still don't know why we even signed Dan James. He's not somebody we just couldn't afford to miss out on, not by any stretch.

An extra £10-15 million on top of what we paid for him would've got us a far better player who'd have been more equipped at dealing with a full season of football at that level.

Cheap punt for squad depth, even if he has played more than expected. I get their position as we’re obviously still hoping to get Sancho having missed out last summer. Not getting a striker was the bigger problem.

That's a fair point but imagine having somebody like Bergwijn or best case scenario Ziyech to fall back on instead of James. That's proper depth.

I'm not trying to knock him but he is a pretty limited player.

We have a committee that includes the head scout, Nicky Butt, Ole and Woodward (ceo). Think there might be a couple of others.

Yeah I wouldn’t complain with that either. I guess the difference is in transfer fee and wages which gives us more to play with for the big signings. I’ve more of an issue with signing Maguire for £80m than Dan James.

Who is the tranfers guy at Manchester Us?

Do u have a DS or does the coach identify players?

--------------------------------------------

We don't have just one individual responsible for signing players.

Joel Glazer, Woodward, Mike Judge, Ole and his coaching staff and our chief scouts all have some say on that side of things.

posted on 6/6/20

I don’t think Judge has any say on the transfer targets er, he just negotiates the contracts.

Hoping we can perform a miracle and get shot of Sanchez and a fair portion of his wages if not all this summer.

That was another huge fack up, signing Sanchez instead of Lucas.

I'd read that he has more involvement than it seemed even though he's still relatively unknown.
