They don’t beat Barca very often either.

Barca’s league form has been excellent recently. They’ve won 13 of their last 15 I think.

Sorry 12 that should be.

I thought Atletico would win it fairly comfortably, but they've had a slight wobble of late and Madrid/Barca aren't too far behind them now.

If they don't win their game in hand against Bilbao on Wednesday, then they're in real danger of losing their grip on the title.

They still play Barca as well.

Just thinking is it a coincidence that Liverpool have dipped in form as soon as Klopp has started wearing Wengers old coat with a lfc badge sewn over? Not sure

Oh ffs.

Spurs have scored 100 goals in all competitions now and Mourinho's sarcastically hit back saying "not bad for a 'defensive' manager".

I hate when he does this

Didn't like 35 of those goals come against random teams in the Europa League (and Europa League qualifiers)? They've also played Marine, Wycombe, Stoke and Brentford in the cups which obviously helps, too.

posted on 8/3/21

Yeah they did. Even if they’d come in the league, it doesn’t change the fact. Defensive and boring teams can score lots of goals.

49 non league goals I think

posted on 8/3/21

Non league sounds about right.

posted on 8/3/21

I guess one thing it does highlight - and to be fair to be Mourinho I don’t hear him use the excuse too much - but we have played an obscene amount of games

posted on 8/3/21

Those Europa qualifiers helped you at the start of the season, to be fair. They were basically pre season games, a lot of other clubs were playing catch up.

posted on 8/3/21

They did 100%, however I do wonder if they also caused/helped cause us to look as terrible as we did at the end of Christmas as we looked seriously tired.

posted on 8/3/21

We’ve definitely got a second wind at the moment as the fixture list has eased up. Depending on how well managed the minutes are we may (probably will) suffer another massive burnout

posted on 8/3/21

I dunno, you looked shiiiiiit before that even when picking up points. It’s just a Mourinho thing. Whether it’s tiredness or not, I think there’s another poor run of form around the corner for Spurs.

posted on 8/3/21

I’m not disagreeing but I do think it’s played a part too. Some results like the Leicester or Wolves game our players looked dead on their feet and the COVID rest against Fulham did them the world of good.

On top of Jose being Jose regarding training/tactics I also think we will suffer from burnout as he’ll play a strong team in the league and Europa and League Cup final

posted on 8/3/21

I think sometimes the poor performances can just make teams look tired. Seen it with United where they look facked, then the next game they play better and look reenergised. Mourinho’s teams have a habit of doing that as well.

posted on 8/3/21

That’s true as well but we had played 2/3 games a week for about 3/4 months solid. I genuinely thought Hojbjerg’s legs were gonna fall off at some point - I think Lamela’s actually did but that was due to game time just because he’s made of quavers
