Madrid were totally outclassed, but the blame must stand with Zidane. In the first game, Chelsea dominated and Madrid got away with a terrible performance. Nobody thought they would be as bad again ... but they were even worse!

Zidane picked unfit players and played others out of position. He sacrificed a midfielder to "help" Ramos in the back line. For all of the possession, Madrid created 4 chances in two matches.

There will be better days for Real and my Barça but I think the final reflects a current reality. Manchester City are probably the best in Europe now and Chelsea are the fastest improving side. It may be interesting.

Totally agree. But it's not just that, Barça, Madrid and now even Atletico are playing matches as if they are entitled to win - hace asco. We've been listening to how great la liga is for so long that we just believe it. This year, the reality that our league has fallen to mediocre has become clear. Bad coaches (Koeman and Zidane), old players past their best, lack of ideas, stale boring football.

I've always preferred English football because even when it lacks quality, there is passion. But this year, I am further losing interest in the Spanish game. I never thought I'd admit it - I miss Ronaldo!

As it is, we took our eye off the ball when we had it perfectly set up after beating your lot. It’s incredibly hard to predict right now how this is going to end up, but yeah, in general terms the three sides have fallen badly behind the leading PL sides.

Basically because I was more apathetic towards Jose at the start of the season than most for some reason it’s bothered you enough to bring up for the 27th time.

In examples like this it had no relevance cos I like G Nev as he is a good pundit and has decent morales and sociopolitical values

I'm pretty sure you said you liked him (JM). I'll drop it if you feel embarrassed for having said it though. Or even if you've just changed your mind. We all make mistakes.

I don't know, Edin - I just have a deep-seated dislike for cocky, arrogant, self-important folk, and Neville comes across as every bit the type. I also find his face thoroughly punchable.

Yeah it’s grate. I mentioned on another thread that I wanted to play them in the final as I’d rather see them win it, if we don’t, than Arsenal. Emery’s record in this competition is ridiculous.
