They're usually a good way to see how new signings do so as it doesn't apply to us, yeah, don't really care about it.

Pre season is largely meaningless, teams are often at different stages of preparation with players returning at different times. It`s just about building up fitness and looking at players leading up to the PL starting. I take very little interest in it.
Lose - it's meaningless
Win - it's a boost for the players
To be honest, i can work both ways i always find if ya have a good-pre-season you can take that into the firstfew games, its not a example of how your season will pan out.
I always like to just sea nee signings, but also witg inly 2 weeks to go, i would hope the team is at least starting to get to full fitness.
Liverpool have 3 games this week we wont win all 3 but we willbe match ready come the 12th!
None the less i would rather win 3-0 in pre season than lose

I thought it was about getting match fit, testing new playersand maybe trying new tactics.
hey ho
----------------------------------------------------------------------
its preperation for the season its a lot more then just getting fit ffs the good old excuse when their teams loses pre season.
Not to bothered about result but it's the way we lost that concerns me and how unprepared we look. Not to mention Pochettino totally going back on what he said last week.
The more sensible supporters on here knew we don't have a good enough squad and clearly need strength where as other supporters are deluded to think because we come 2nd and 3rd, automatically means our team are strong enough to challenge and we can keep bringing in youngsters. It just doesn't work like that I'm afraid and Levy has totally tried pulling the wool over everyone's eyes the other day with his comments.
It was just 1 big excuse to justify the ridiculous transfer window we have had or shall I say lack of transfer window. How can any Spurs fan be happy with this squad when last season proved we couldn't juggle both the league and CL.

yeah im agreeing with you.
I can't believe there was an El Classico preseason friendly, Utd playing a derby game and Chelsea during preseason is so pathetic.
What we can take from pre-season is that Madrid and PSG are probably going to get relegated, and Spurs will be mid table.
May as well turn it in now
What we can take is that we are going to struggle against teams that press us high again. Think Liverpool, City, Leverkusen
Trippier, Davies and Dier are useless against those types of teams
Walker and Rose were pretty sheit at the Etihad too to be fair, when we were pressed. As were Wanyama and Dembele.
Danny Rose and Walker played at WHL v Liverpool when we were out-pressed too.
I think those two teams are our nemesis when on it, whoever plays. I did an article about it previously, I think we need to look at a 4141 v these.
Yesterday was particularly bad though. Trippier cannot do anything apart from lump the ball over the top for Kane to chase. Dier is poor with the ball unless he's given space. At least with Walker, Rose, etc... they have a chance of doing something
