I know this is a laughable article but needed to vent my annoyance somewhere and where better than a football forum
The club and fans knew what we signing up for when we appointed Mourinho. Only time will tell if it will bring us success in the league and Europe.
Its not a laughable article. Many United fans fee the same. Jose gave it large about knowing that United fans demand entertaining football. Hopefully he comes good on that this season, but I won't hold my breath if he keeps Fellaini.
what many fans should have needed to know about jose before they perm ejaculated when he agreed to accept our daft offer to him to manage the club at the time. This is the type of team/style we are going to get from him. We will be hard as feckin nails and Stoke can now feck off. We are the Daddy now.
Haven't felt as unenthusiastic about a coming season since we appointed Moyes... Battle for 4th rather than a title challenge
Fellaini is a benefit to any squad. I can understand why some people don't want him starting every game. Even I don't want that. It was a mistake to play him away at City last season.
But having a battering ram like that in the squad is better than not having it and a few times last season he was a big help in bullying a goal out of sides.
He reminds me of what Bruce used to give us when we were chasing a game back in the olden days.

Cheer up you miserable fack.
nah we will batter everybody to win the PL probably.

Does Jose realise this? I wonder.

Instead we have to pick apart everything and find ways to be negative
Yes. I'm wondering why Fellaini getting an armband over Pogba and the team winning a match is such a dastardly deed by Jose. Can you tell me why?
+++++
if you need me to answer that you are quite obviously know nothing about MUFC
This maybe a bit over the top however I've never felt so deflated about a days transfer business in a long time long time if ever supporting United.
Buying Matic for upwards of 40m and then Jose confirming that Fellaini is important to the squad is just a joke IMO.
I don't think Matic is good enough however I will give him a chance. Fellaini I was done with 2 yrs ago. I think he forces us to play long whether it's phsychological or the players simply don't trust him. I honestly do not see what Jose sees him.
For he personally I'm giving Jose this season. If our football doesn't change and we carry on playing cloggers such as Fellaini ahead of the likes of Perreira or TFM then my support for him will reduce dramatically. I'm already losing trust in his ability throughout a league season and the decisions he makes

OP
Fellaini - not a world beater, but he is a very very useful and unique player, he won't make us play like Barca but in the right circumstances tactically he's brilliant. He was the main reason we beat Ajax, and with him we made a decent side look terribly average.
Lingard - Again, he's no Martial but tactically he's much better, better work rate, movement, hold up and link up play. Martial isn't Hazard, and will therefore be played for certain occasions until he matures (he still a kid) and he has that consistency, which he will get game time for.
It's a team game, and the team needs to be built for the manager, same as every team. I don't see how people can't understand this, maybe too time playing Fifa.
Joses had a very successful year, won trophies with a brand new team but gets slated. Have some some in one of the most successful managers in the game.
Alternatively, go ask how the Spurs/pool/Arsenal fans feel playing 'nice' football and coming up short every year.

That was not the point of the article. Fellani being so important to mourinho that he put him as captain was more of the point. The fact that it signals that he is here to stay really deflates me. The Pogba point was not very relevant. I know he isn't ready to be captain. I was more alluding to the fact that a player of his quality who has played with the likes of Pirlo and vidal a season before for Juventus would have to play with Fellani as his 'superior'. ANYWAY don't make this about Pogba. It has nothing to do with him. Irregardless of if we won the match, my POINT is about how Fellani is symbolic of how far we are as a club to the top

It's infuriating that he not only loves Fellaini, but he's spunking our cash on Matic, a signing which simply when age and form is taken into account, makes little to no sense.
Seems like pure and utter short termism from mou.

Trust me mate, I really do try to enjoy it. However, I do enjoy midfielders with genuine ability to pick a pass, beat a player, score some nice goals or show some real intelligence. That's the type of football I find entertainig and whilst Fellani can be used as a battering ram, on the most part Mourinho plays him as part of a midfield 2 which requires him to have some responsibility on the ball to get the ball to the forwards. This is not one of his strengths. And I for one find it hard to enjoy watching him not be creative as one of our central midfielders. What infuriates me most I think is that he doesn't attempt risks. I always remember that story Ferdinand told about Keane having a go at him in training saying 'at united we don't play sideway passes, we don't play it safe, this isn't leeds anymore' (along those lines). I rarely see Fellani attempting difficult balls. It truly shows a lack of ambition and slows down potential attacks.

To be fair I don't think he plays Fellaini in a midfield two often at all.
It's usually with Herrera and Pogba and it worked best against Chelsea at OT and in the Europa final.
With Matic signing I'm sure we'll see less of Fellaini and I'm fine with that. Ultimately more than anything I want a squad of players who would die for Jose. That's the only way we'll push on and win things imo
