In theory selling the occasional elderly or sick endangered animal into a bit of tourism hunting would generate cash for reserves to help keep healthy and young members of the species alive.

Thats not how it works. The hunters want the prime specimens as their trophy kills.

This story with some quotes from programmes on the channel is enough for me not to want anything to do with this sort of thing. Taking down endangered bull elephants is not acceptable to me, or the rest. Kill for food, fine, but for "sport" shooting an animal that doesnt even know you are there is unacceptable. With no reason other than saying you killed it being your motive.

It is how it works for legal hunts which raise a lot of money for conservation.

Maybe you should complain to the countries governments which allow and encourage it

Well yes, but isn't that getting into the realms of saying women that wear revealing clothes are to blame for getting attacked?

There are multiple layers of culpability here, and Kroenke's promoting of this, being one of them, should not be exempt from criticism just because he isn't the source of the issue.

Lions commit murder

Perhaps. But they don't then broadcast it for the pleasure of others, and the profit that it brings.

Lions kill for food, which I said is an acceptable reason for hunting to me earlier in the thread.

I would also say if a lion was also attacking your cattle you would be justified in killing it to protect your property. Or something like a fox that will kill for the sake of killing being hunted to protect livestock is ok

If you murder someone eating them doesn't justify it. If anything that will make it worse in court
