I think a ban is fair. What I don't see as fair is the length of the bans. Surely there should be a constant that says if you get caught betting, straight 12 month ban.
I'm pretty sure Perry did actually play in the China Championship last week. So not sure what is going on with the ban then.

The question is, why so stupid to do it in the first place? They know the rules, and there are a lot more other sports to have a bet on if they want to.
