But you know what the transfer business is going to be before it happens, so can it come as a surprise to the mighty Jason G?

I don't think money is just the issue. After the disgraceful way the club has behaved in its transfer dealings clubs like Southampton don't want to deal with us.

We need a new ownership that has integrity and understands the game. Someone who will employ staff that know how to deal in the transfer market and get deals done with the minimum of fuss.

Until then you can expect more transfer windows like this one sadly.

Going after player who never up for sale from day one and wasting 3 months is classic FSG.

To be ho est they came in an stop us from going into liquidation, built a new stand and have backed every manager.

So no we shouldn't. We should back the management and the team

They are terrible....i mean they bought mane..salah..suarez..lallana etc and have turned Anfield into a 50-60K modern stadium and only managed to get Klopp to manage the team...oh and of course rescued us from H&G.

Awful owners right....

posted on 6/8/17

Huh? They've spent nearly £50m so far, had a £70m bid for a player rejected and wanted to sign another player for £70m. That's nearly £200m we know they were happy to spend. As it happens one is dead in the water and the other still may happen but certainly investment in players isn't an issue, getting in the right players to improve us is proving the difficult part.

The trophy haul is poor but we've been to 4 finals and had our best ever PL season under them.

It's not FSG's fault we lost on penalties to City in the league cup, cr@pped the bed in the second half against Sevilla or missed out on the league because of a slip/Rodgers' tactics.

Your eage bill of 210m of a revenue of 300m is high at 70%. You are up there with the biggest payers.

Fans need to look past transfer fees. Wages are by far the biggest spend of a club.

Trophy haul has been awful I agree, however klopp has only been in the job 1 full season and BR was so close to the title. B4 that FSG were not the owners.

That's all I have to say about this article.

Only an idiot would not see you are going in the right direction.

People are just hankering after owners like City's. How facking boring would that be?

It cannot be denied that FSG have bought and invested in LFC in order to make a profit. To suggest otherwise would be daft in the extreme. That's their No.1 objective. On the playing side, they probably know as much about football as we do about their version in the USA.

Investment? They have invested well, both in players and in structure. Compared to the window makers at United or the Roosk at Chelsea or the 'experts' at city, they haven't bought many, if any, duffers. (Remember the £42M super-dooper defender City bought and scored a spectacular goal when we played the, at the Etihad? Em, an own-goal actually? Where is that boy now?)

In addition, Jurgen has come out and told the world and his dog that FSG backs him all the way, and I don't think he was just saying it for the cameras. He's enjoying phenomenal success thus far especially with the squad he inherited, and I'm sure FSG see him as an investment in itself.

Still, if your not happy with him or them, we can always go back to the Moore's family for ownership.

That would be nice wouldn't it? Would you like that?

No, me neither.

So we shouldn't go after the players the manager wants and the ones that would improve us?

We should just go after the ones that clubs want to sell.

I love reading predictions.

I love reading experts views, in here especially, as to who will be top four, and in what order.

And we don't get a mention! Great!

We're written off, discarded, because we haven't spunked X amount of wonga on whomsoever. (Relegation hasn't been mentioned, true, but it's only a matter of time)

Super! Keep it up!

Let's see where we are at the end of the season.

Most would actually believe both VVD and Keita will be Liverpool players within a year.

posted on 6/8/17

Ludicrous.

Liverpool have been spending excessively for years with little reward yet in Klopps first full season we had a net surplus and climbed back into the CL.

With regard to spending, we've been prepared to smash the transfer record twice with VVD & Keita but the clubs are playing hardball.

The club is being run fine. If you want a sugar daddy then go and support City or Chelsea.

I have a theory about it.

Those who cannot see the wood for the trees are those who probably get most involved in 'bantz' on social media.

Probably get wound up a treat by pals, and bite hard
