No way is he classing that as a poor first touch It was a touch which showed an awareness that his attributes bested Reid's (or Ogbonna's?) and as such was a very positive first touch.

No, a heavy touch is when a player accidentally knocks the ball into an area where he is unlikely to retrieve it.

Not when he deliberately plays it ahead of him into space and then does reach it.

Just because it went yards ahead of him doesn't mean it was accidental or "heavy". He clearly knew what he was doing there.
