Sanchez

"I would like to thank the coach, management, players and fans of Ajax. It is a great move for me to come here to develop my career. I am very excited to be signing for such a famous club as Tottenham Hotspur. I am looking forward to working with Mauricio Pochettino and the players and meeting everyone there.”

Hay acuerdo de palabra entre #Estudiantes y #Tottenham por Juan Foyth. El defensor dio el ok para firmar por 5 años. Ya redactan contratos.

Translates to : There is agreement in Word between #Estudiantes and #Tottenham by Juan Foyth. The Ombudsman gave the ok to sign for 5 years. Already they write contracts.

Bit strange to sign 2 centre backs? But I'm not complaining. This Foyth supposed to be a wonderkid.

maybe Verts eventual replacement?

A signing! Nah can't be true

Henge, as I have stated on other posts. I personally think Poch wants to go 3 at the back ( centre backs) with 2 wing backs. This would make sense signing 2 centre backs. Means we are stocked up including Dier if need be. Sanchez, fantastic signing though.

Would probably make more sense if we replaced our wingback ffs

At least this means Sissoko isn't our record signing anymore and can now be forgotten about

posted on 18/8/17

If we go three at the back it might mean Sissoko would be used as a wing back as the emphasis would be on attack rather than defence

Rather would have spent the money on a top attacking midfielder/winger. Our poor play is evident in the CL when we play decent opposition as we tend to struggle. Same when we play away from home against the top teams in the league, we fail to match them technically.
That's where we need to improve to move to the next level. With our style of play We are always going to be hard to beat but to win trophies you have to beat the big boys and we will always struggle using the same players who offer the same style of play with minimal variety or unpredictability to our play.
