Robertson good , matip outstanding . Midfield really poor today though , way too many misplaced paces . Comfortable win and my record of me and the boy not seeing them lose for ages goes on !

Wasn't amazing but job done and now we can go full strength against Hoffenheim. Desperately need a lallana/coutinho in that midfield 3 though, without one there's not a lot of creativity.

Trying to remember think it's 2 nil loss v arsenal aboyt 6 years ago, must be 40 games we have seen since then

Yeah think that'll happen with Sturridge the game changer on the bench. Can will come in too I imagine for one of Milner and Gini.

With Coutinho and Lallana both out I'd like to see Can and Henderson in midfield with Firmino ahead of them and Salah and Mane either side. I think at home we'd rip them apart with that.

Bloody Spartek Moscow doing Moscow doing me out of over £500 as I write this. Did four teams both teams to score and win and they were the last 2-1 up. Bloody scored again as I write this to take it to 4-3 after going down 4-2 only seconds ago. Like an amateur league match so far.

I'm not sure how Firmino would do in the midfield, he's more a striker, he took the number 9 for a reason.

Yeah, I don't see Firmino playing behind the striker. For me he is a striker.

False 9....

For me he'd work well in a 4-2-3-1 behind the striker.

Don't get me wrong, he's outstanding leading the line against the better teams. They hate when teams play in front of them on the edge of the box which allows the wingers to push up either side when they are exposed after an attack. That doesn't happen in the majority of games however.
