To give him a rest?
Does that mean he comes back in after international break, you know, when he's just had a two week long rest after being back up to Courtois?
It's just ridiculous to be honest.

That's what the telegraph said Neo so not sure how true that part is. Pearce has confirmed Karius is starting today though.

None.
I'm no Mignolet fan, in fact, I'm arguable his biggest critic but giving a goalkeeper a rest is nonsense.
I guess it's to keep his 2nd choice motivated.
Yes but why when playing another top six team?

Dominic King is a nobb though
Just maybe vs Arsenal klopp wants his GK to come for crosses to counter giroud??
Migs is getting better at this but i suspect Karius is better. If Karius commands his area and swallows all the crosses then people will say brilliant klopp...if kaius fks up then klopp is a fool. Such is a managers life!
Mignolet is not good enough for a team with ambitions of challenging for the title, he's just not.
He seems to radiate panic among the defenders.
He can't kick a football very well.
He can't even throw a football very well.
Not even sure he's a very good shot stopper - I think I read a stat that we allow very few shots on goal (one of the least in the league I think) yet we manage to concede a shedload of goals from those limited chances.
I hope Karius is better.
Above all, I trust Kloppo.
He will have a break in the last international break when he's number 2 to Chelseas keeper.
We don't know what's gone on in training. If Karius has stepped it up and looked good this is what Klopp does. Train well you are in for a chance to start. Otherwise were is the reward? Karius better distribution from the back and a better sweeper keeper which is handy against Arsenal as we will want to play a higher line and keep possession better. Football is fickle if he has a great performance people will say Klopp masterclass. Gets it wrong people will moan and complain. One thing is that Mig instills panic in the back at any given moment although he has started alright this season. Still conceded what 6 goals in 4 games?
We had our best form last season with Karius. As long as he gets the basics right his distribution could be a big help to us.
Mignolets catching is almost non existent, his punchings not much better his distribution is poor, hes beat at his near post a lot hes not very agile and is slow to move his feet and hes not even a gr8 shot stopper as people claim either as his handling is pathetic. Hes good at coming out closing the angles and using his big frame in the home they hit it at him and seems to have the luck with pens. His top saves are usually him coming out closing the ball out or the ball hitting him without much need for moving, hard to recall a top save he made flying through the air at full stretch moving his feet quickly etc just dont happen hes slow and reactions aren't great either.
That said Karius was just as poor with the chances hes had.
Crazy decision
At least wait till migs makes a howler or something but he's been fine. Even saved a pen
Can't say he's been at fault for any goals so far and he's been coming off his line to claim crosses

This guy is just as bad. He also is rooted on his line. Fact is our keepers are not good enough

Doubt Giroud will start, and even if he does we barely cross when he plays. We are hardly the team to drop,a keeper because of his ability to deal with crosses.

That had absolutely zero to do with Karius being in goal. Have you seen who we played? Apart from Utd (0-0 bus fully parked) it was all relegation fodder. And still managed to lose 4-3 to Bournemouth. The 3 games before Karius came in were Champions Leicester, Arsenal and Chelsea with Mig - which we all won.
I hope I'm wrong, but I've seen nothing at all to suggest that Karius has better distribution, and he made quite a few basic errors last time he was given a chance.
