many things could occur.

like they decide they don't need him once they are out of europe.. or he might not have the motivation.. or one of his team mates might kick the legs off him... who knows.

What this does is save face for a certain director of football and loud red bull chief who cost themselves the guts of 15mil or so by refusing to sell and replace.

I understand your point about locking him down in case someone else just swoops in next year.

Its just a pity its about face not about us getting a player in this summer.
