Apart from my initial *suggested* measurement of world class, everything else has been taking what you have, and pointing out the inconsistencies.

Eg, earlier you said Scholes was world class in 2001. Then a few posts up you decided he wasn't.

You justified Gomez as being THE ONLY world class striker from 2008-2012 because of his outputs, even though Eto'o's output is better over 3 of the four seasons.

You were also told that Rooney & RvP had returned better numbers for goals and assists during that period too. Which according to YOUR logic, would make them world class. Which means you can in fact have more than one world class player per position, according to YOUR logic.

Can I make this very clear... These are not *my views*.

These were YOUR views. I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies and flaws.

If you can't draw the correct logical conclusion from your own reasoning, then you have a bit of a thinking problem.

This plainly is not true. I do not know what you're reading but it seems you're seeing what you want to see. I never said he was world class in 01.

If you're referring to "best two of four" I couldn't be bothered to answer you properly. Your posts are tedious at best and you seem to enjoy misinterpreting what is said anyway.

I'd stress that top '2 or 3' is at times also unfair.

Take CM players in or around, say, 2001. You had players like Keane, Scholes, Davids, Vieira, Redondo, Makelele, Seedorf, Effenberg, Jeremies, Gerrard (at his peak a bit later on in fairness), Gattuso, Guardiola...

Who were the best 2 or 3 from that lot? I couldn't tell you, frankly. Which ones were or weren't world class? Where do you even begin trying to pick that conundrum apart? That list is extensive either, by any means.
