To be fair to Lukaku he’s been very clinical this season
One of my favourite United strikers was Ruud
That cup game at Villa when we were chasing the game and he came in late and scored twice

Not the opinion I have formed, to me he always seems to miss a few I would expect him to do better with, that said he gets in those positions so often that he's still very dangerous but becoming more clinical is something he should get over time.
Lukaku doesn't have the individualism that Ruud had.

no striker finishes every chance they get, if they did they would all get 70goals a year, he has 8 goals for us before oct in 8 games, pretty good ratio

hmmm he's scored a lot but not been clinical, a couple of his goals this year have been due to it falling back to him luckily after hes missed the original chance
Did Ruud have a 24 incher as well?
I have maintained for a while that Lukaku reminds me more of Torres than anyone, deceptive pace, similarly good in the air and score from similarish positions on the pitch.
I have noticed similarities between the two

Anyway, I agree with Genius. Lukaku doesn't have the ruthless, selfish, "I'd run over my granny to score a goal" attitude that Ruud had.
Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud.
At the moment I think he's best instinctively. The more time he has the more he over thinks his options.
I think he needs to relax too. He's playing on adrenaline at the moment and is so desperate to impress, which is totally understandable due to the fee hanging over his head.

Err, no
I saw his goal against Saints on Saturday and thought it reminded me of a Ruud goal to confirm a long held belief
But please keep being salty. Makes you out to be a lovely person
I'm a sweetheart I'll have you know.
I wouldn't day that Lukaku has been especially clinical so far this season and he has been lucky with a couple of his goals were he has missed that initial chance but the rebound has fallen to him. There are similarities between the two, but I would say Ruud was better when playing with his back to goal. He was good at taking the ball in tight situations, making it stick up top/knocking it off to a winger and getting himself into the box. His touch and link play was better than Lukaku's for me, but the latter does have time to develop.
The Drogba/Lukaku comparison is silly. Only similarity is that they are both powerful.
Lukaku is much more prolific than Drogba and as Carragher said Drogba could be man of the match without scoring.

--------------
everyone knows why the comparison is made, if a big strong white striker with the actual same attributes as drogba had signed for Chelsea/man utd he wouldn't get compared to drogba

hmm bit stupid that, a lot of chelsea fans compared drogba to osgood who is white.
Also Drogba is not actually that big, He was slim too. Lukaku is more like John Hartsons build
There were also comparisons between costa and drogba in the way they "bullied defenders"

Anyone whos seen both of them play knows that comparison is lazily based on them both being big, black strikers (also Lukaku had long hair when he joined)
What I get out of Lukaku is having a striker with swagger again. That presence and confidence that he's going to score goals, and that's a fact, Jack. Just like the days of Ruud, he had 2 ' of swagger.
