What would the cartel say?

Maguire has disappointed with his defending in a back 4 so far. He needs to be more disciplined and in line with his team mates. He also needs to stop getting too tight - in our formation you can't let players turn you too easily.

But, if he learns that, he has the potential to be a superb defender. I think his need to maraud makes him very suited to a back 3, so Huth and Morgan protecting him could be an excellent option.

However, if he continues to cost us goals in a back 2, Huth should come in. We need results. We can carry people.

He is so much mobile than Morgan as was shown in the last game i think he's better than the two of them put together. But Shakey will never drop Morgan sorry the players will never drop him

It'll be interesting to watch him, but objectively he shouldn't be in the England squad yet. He needs to improve his basic defending as part of a unit.

3 at the back may well suit him, but that phrase in itself isn't necessarily a compliment precisely because it's suggestive of a lack of positional discipline.

He wasn't very mobile when he gifted Huddesfield a goal!!

No reason to drop Morgan, he's in good form but at least he did drop Mahrez who fully deserved it.

Great to see Shakey has propelled Maguire into the England set up, excellent Man Management again by the Leicester Boss.

There is no where near enough evidence to suggest Maguire is better than Morgan or Huth, let alone the two together. He definitely has the potential.

I don’t mind him bringing the ball out a) as long as it isn’t just for the sake out it ...insert ball moves quicker than player quote .... and also b) I think he believes he is perhaps a little better at dribbling and passing than he is. Perhaps just a polite reminder that his job is a defender and anything else is bonus on top of that not as a replacement to it. But I do have high hopes for him.

Why the hell would we be dropping Morgan!?

Ps - Shakespeare was part of the set up that advocated 442 and it was apparently Cambiasso, according to some, who orchestrated our previous 3 at the back. By sticking with 442 he would simply be, rightly or wrongly, be going with the formation he has advocated, why would changing it make him ‘manly’??

And in what way are the players fitting him up, as you suggest he is playing the formation they like and don’t want to change but are still wanting to play badly on purpose to get him sacked? Uh??

Disappointing to hear that Slimani wanted away in the Summer and went as far as to talking to Watford's Manager.

Disappointing that he's still here that is.

Well KTF although this is tongue in cheek they clearly arn't good enough anymore to play 442 whether they want or not with the players we have available.

As for dropping Morgan as its never going to happen as for the Hudderfield goal no back from midfield and he was still back in the box before those in front of him.

You guys are prefering Huff and Morgan but he's just made the England team and one of the best signings in the last two seasons. Oh well not a surprise.

When was the last time we had an Egland Centre half in our team?

"As for dropping Morgan as its never going to happen as for the Hudderfield goal no back from midfield and he was still back in the box before those in front of him."

You mean because he played their player onside by being 5 yards behind the rest of the defense?

Or the fact that he got turned easier and quicker than a piece of steak on a BBQ?

You also seem to forget neither Morgan or Huth
qualify for England ( which means F all these days anyway ) but both play or have played for their own Countries, Morgan 30 times for his and Huth for the famous Germany you were so loud in promoting about Zieler.

Maguire is the Gray or Chilwell in the centre of defense, massive potential but a long way from the finished article and prone to big mistakes.

When did Leicester city last have a England Centre half simple question? But some would rather play an old German who has not played this season through injury before even knowing whether he's good enough or Morgan who turns like the QE2 down the road from me in Dubai

What's Huth being German got to do with anything, Nev?
Don't go all Alan Young on us now...

posted on 8/10/17

Plus not one person on here has said they'd rather Huth or Morgan instead of Maguire, another NevFact, or bullsh!t if you prefer straight talking.

Nev's ongoing strawman festival.

Maguire ahead of Morgan and Huth everyday of the week. It shouldn't even be up for debate

posted on 8/10/17

Whilst I'm not saying I disagree with you Miami, Morgan and Huth are both currently better defenders than Maguire.

I'd personally play all 3.

posted on 8/10/17

Assume Huth isn't yet match fit so start Morgan and Maguire for the time being. Also assuming we're not switching to 3-5-2 any time soon.

posted on 8/10/17

Maguire will play regardless once everyone's fit. He's good, clearly far more comfortable on the ball, and can get better. But let's not pretend that his defending itself is as good as Morgan or Huth's yet.

posted on 9/10/17

Nowt wrong being German but does anyone want to ask the Question "who was the last Leicester Centre half to play for England" That will show you how good he is.

Q 2 - If all three first choice CH's are fit which are the two we play then you miserable beggars?

Lighten up TB my Bullsh!t is as equally worthy as you saccastic Bullsh!t one liners matey

Oh i love the irony Harry bringing the ball out of defence he is criticized for created the goal with this move.

posted on 9/10/17

Nev - I'm sorry but saying someone playing for England means they're good currently is like saying someone who made the San Marino squad is a World Cup winner.

England are hoop.

Haha, maybe you didn't notice but he was playing in a back 3, exactly what others have suggested would allow him to do that for Leicester!!

Playing for England in the B team, in a practice match against World beaters Lithuania just shows exactly where he's at.

Great potential but not good enough yet, Oh wait, that's exactly what everyone is saying.
