Who's the favourite ?

It's the real award. You say well done lads you are the top 50.

Now go vote on Messi or Ronaldo and enter the game.

Ronaldo I presume. Personally I think Messi has been better in 2017 but the CL win probably sway it it in CR7's favour.

Messi, just to see the Ronaldo meltdown

Couthino should win it

If you're going to give it to a player based on a CL win which is often the case, I'd like to see Luka Modric at least in with a shout.

Undoubtably. What do we reckon for tonight kneerash? Can we do it?

I don't know process, even without Bale wales are a stronger sode than us and I can't see where the goals are coming from think we need two to win the game.

But we might just have one of them nights and we can win the game, team needs to be brave on the ball though and we haven't been like that in a while.

The award is a farce. Not awarded on merit, just based on who won trophies more often than not.... except for 2013 when they decided to extend the voting deadline just so people could factor in Ronaldo’s goals vs Sweden in a World Cup play-off

Exactly that's why couthino should win it

Ya I agree. We seriously lack goals. Even at home to Moldova we looked poor for large spells.

At the time though we've left two many points behind us. Even if we'd gotten a draw at home to Serbia we'd be going into tonight knowing a win would see us top the group.

Who's this Couthino chap you keep referring to?

De Gea is the moral winner.

Dries Mertens to win. What a individual season he had.

Could still be another 5 years before we see someone else win it. Thankfully, both Messi and Ronaldo are now entering/are in their 30's, so I can't imagine either have years left in them.

Having said that, they will probably both win it when they are 35+.

The next player to win it not named Ronaldo or Messi hasn't been born yet.

Modric or Kroos

I thought it was 30.

Op, where did you get 50 nominees come from?

posted on 9/10/17

Sorry my mistake. Still too much though

posted on 10/10/17

I think 30 makes sense, basically top 3 in your position. With a lot of awards the nomination is a massive deal

They all end up going to the same 2 players every year anyway. Give or take the odd select few.
