Let’s look at who he won these games against.
He won City games against a poor manager in Pellegrini who was sacked.
He won Liverpool games against a poor manager in Brendan who was sacked.
You can’t compare the big game records as now the managers at the top clubs are better and the quality has gone up.

We outshot Chelsea on all 4 games and had the most clear chances in all 4 games. Against Man City we dominated both home games and played average away from home. So pretty much only 2 of the 8 league games under LVG were we statistically outshot against Chelsea and Man City.

Difference is that LVG had these sort of performances against the smaller sides too.
This season under Jose we’ve seen a big improvement and games like today are the exception to the rule.
We used to outplay the smaller teams under LVG Robb but similar to Klopp wastefulness cost us. I can't remember many smaller sides ever having more shots then us. The problem was we didn't completely pepper the goal.
