Mignolet has now made more errors leading to a goal than any other player in the WHOLE FKN PREMIER LEAGUE since his debut in 2013.

Lovren has far too many off days.

Moreno is not good enough

klavan is not good enough

Thats four defenders that should not be in red of liverpool for me.

Hate to admit it but these players need to be moved on Mignolet just not good enough over a season, Lovren, Moreno (same as mig) can (No way as good as he thinks he is) Studge (as he clearly don't rate him) and I am going to say it for the first time Henderson. Henderson is a player that does well with superstar next to him ie but asking him to be a main man in middle is just not good enough.

My main gripe with the "couldnt get the player he wanted so will wait" argument is this, was VVD the only player on the shortlist for centre back? If so why? Because I hate to break this to people but we need more than one centre half unless we're going to give Gomez time to develop.

There simply should have been other options pursued by the club. There are many more options out there at centre back that could come in and improve our defence.

The lack of any alternative was simply poor planning on the part of klopp and the club. 2 years on and our defence simply isn't any better than the day he took over and for me that's just negligence.

I like klopp a lot but he's done a very poor job with our defence.

I remember having a converstaion about rhe coming season with some from your board in the Summer.

From the outside looking in, your main weaknesses then were:

Two average keepers.
Lack of quality at CB, barring Matip
Lack of a good defensive midfield shield.

Norhing I have seen since has changed my mind.

It is frustrating, but surely Klopp addresses these issues in the next two windows. He has to

TBF a lot of us on here made the comment thad migs had earned another shot at the No1 following his strong last few months of last season.

Yes, a lot of you did.

I argued that one save at Stoke was enough for some fans to stand by him.

He did nothing out of the ordinary at the back end of last season, he just stopped dropping the ball as much.

I’m on the verge of posting the article I created in the summer when I suggested we’d pay the price for keeping him between the sticks and many of the lads on here criticised for me doing so.

Some of our fans are too lenient when it comes to our squad. We must replace the likes of Mignolet, Lovren and co.

No more chances for these average players.

1. Klopp has said that hes "happy with the defence we have"

Surely he didn't say this because anybody with eyes and a modicum of intelligence can tell he isn't happy with the defence but he seems incapable of knowing how to fix it. It's not improved even marginally in the 2 years he's been here and I don't see any signs of improvement at all.

Apparently aside of VVD there isn't a single defender that would improve on Lovren or Klavan.

2. Sakho deserved a chance like Coutinho and Can

Totally understand Klopp getting rid of Sakho if he thought he was a disruptive influence in the squad and frankly he's as crap as the rest of our centre backs.

3. Still not replaced Mignolet

We did, but the replacement was even worse - thanks Klopp.

4. We need a plan B

A difficult one, Sturridge should be our plan B but he's in abysmal form and Origi for some unknown reason was shipped out on loan.

Klopp has only got himself to blame. I kept saying all summer forget VVD we need to go for our plan B target but we never had a plan B target. This ridiculous decision has cost us big time this season which is getting close to a write off in the league.

Despite all the fist pumps and cheerleading from the bench we need to accept that he is not the messiah we thought he'd be. We have gone backwards. The only thing he has over Rodgers is that he won titles in Germany but not sure how long that is going to last.

It's wrong to say we haven't improved under Klopp, we were playing scintillating football towards the end of 2016 but the wheels have come off in 2017 and I can't see how we will fix it under Klopp.

As long as he is manager we will be easy to beat.

I disagree.

You can finish higher in the table with a worse squad. Other clubs just need to have gotten worse or had an under par season - see Arsenal.

The defence and midfield is shockingly bad. We conceded silly goals under Rodgers but nothing like this.

If he doesn’t address this is Jan and/or summer, he’ll be gone.

Look at the league table.

Look at the goals we have conceded away from home

Our updated record against the top 6 which was a Klopp saving grace

Not scoring the goals

Not gone backwards

Just listened to Klopp saying the first goal wouldn’t have been scored if he was in the pitch.....in trainers??

Klopp pulled lovren after 30 mins yesterday because of how woeful he was, that's not something we've seen of klopp yet. I watched his interview after the game and he blamed lovren for the first two and said "I can't say too much but let me put it this way, for the second goal if I am on the pitch Kane is not running away with the ball". He blamed migs for not telling matip to leave the third and then blamed the team for letting alli free. Then blamed migs for the fourth, was the most candid and dark I've seen him ever.

Looked like a watershed moment for me, the day he finally went enough is enough.

I'd take Juergen in his trainers and glasses over lovren every day of the week.

In fairness, as woeful as Lovren was, any one of the team could have been subbed yesterday they were all shocking.

The only half decent players were Moreno (again) and Salah who was the only bright spark in a dark dark day.

That's fine taking Lovren off but then shaking up the whole team by putting Can at right back when Milner could have played there or we could have used TAA sub was very bizarre.

Lovrens performance was one of the worst defensive displays I've seen, to say "any of them could have gone" is ridiculous. Lovren was the one who needed to.

Gomez was good again. Ox put in a good performance. Outside of them and salah I thought everyone else was poor.

It was woeful but we still conceded two woeful goals with him off the park.

Actually a fair point about Gomez and Ox.

For Huddersfield I'd play:

Karius
TAA Gomez Matip Moreno
Milner Can (sadly) Coutinho
Salah Firmino Ox

Oh I totally agree, couldn't believe it when I saw Can at right back (klopp also called him out for losing the ball and then fouling the man that led to the goal too), thought for sure it would be Milner.

Was just nice to see Juergen have a pop at the players when they absolutely deserved it yesterday instead of making excuses or protecting them. He seemed well pissssssed at lovren, barring injuries I don't really think we'll see him much more this season.

Salah sturridge coutinho
