Happy Birthday SoQ, special mention to mother SoQ who put all the effort in!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evening comrade.

Hope you are well chum... and if you have email contact with NPE, tell him I was asking for him from across the Irish sea border.๐Ÿคจ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Evening big man. Not in touch with NPE but if that changes I will send him your regards.

All good my end my man. How’s the fam doing? Daughter got conservative yet? ๐Ÿ˜‚
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers bud.

Daughter is not a Tory...yet?๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Family off in recent weeks so hols and trips and seaside swims until heatwave broke.

Glad all is good with you.๐Ÿ˜Š

Also the results post application aren’t racist either. They are simply results or statistics if you prefer.

A racist bias in the use of the power will undoubtedly produce a set of results or statistics that cannot be sensibly relied upon. Again that’s different

Who cares about design? I don't know what it was designed for, I know what it is.

An item is what it is, not what it was designed to be, which can be two separate and different things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely understanding both design and implementation is important for root cause analysis of failings in the implementation? It could be designed poorly (and thus ineffectively implemented) and thus not work, it could be designed well but the implementation is poor and so again does not work.

In these situations the solutions to fix could and likely would be different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your what's itchy?

Howareya pal?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not bad bud, hope you’re keeping well.

Just been trying to lose some weight, so that’s taking up most of my free time with the cooking healthy meals and exercising.

Plus, we’ve got a wee girl due at the end of the year/beginning of January so thought I’d best lose the dad bod before she comes along, and then I can earn it right back through fatherhood ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice one ..
Congratulations to you both and it is the best and hardest thing we do in life, bringing a baby into the world and looking after them.

Good luck with weight loss and I hear you, as do most of my area in their fifties now with dad bods, moobs n bellies lol.

I have put on nearly stone from my fighting weight at 50 ffs, so running, cycling,, walking and swimming daily now, but love food too much and it's hard to get energy at 57 to keep fit...plus age and gravity usually win.

Keep at it though as you need the energy and health to be a good daddy.๐Ÿ˜

A hard watch on RTE just now The Massacre at Ballymurphy, it's available on RTE player if anyone is interested. Best not sweep these things under the carpet ๐Ÿ™„ The same year over 7k people seeked shelter down south. Imagine having to seek asylum in your own land.

The Guardian opinion pieces are great. Some of what I've read today.

Putting a kid with a shoplifting conviction in a high-visibility vest to pick litter on a canal doesn’t really do anything to stop them from reoffending, but it does make people who think stealing electronics should be punished by bringing back hanging feel better about law and order in the abstract.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Boing, boing!

Adrian Chiles confesses he's a messy eater. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Not surprised. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And just for you BMCL

Why did no one warn me about how much kids ate, especially when they are at home all day?

Congrats BMCL! ๐ŸŽŠ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that Boing Boing for baggies messy eater, Chile's?๐Ÿ˜‚

Watched a programme he did on boozing and how he battled to reduce intake....he should move to Saudi.๐Ÿ˜‰

Did you get the job front sorted pal?

Eurgh.. and still it goes on. Getting closer, but very slow.

I need to find a fan for an extractor fan before they will release me. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sounds easy enough... but isn't. 2 months without pay now, starting to twitch. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

How's you TBAB? How was the sabbatical?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully, work comes your way asap.๐Ÿ˜Š

Super sabbatical and I will only pop in now and then now mate.

Looks like everyone else concurs.๐Ÿ˜‚

Over promise, under deliver

Not quite as pithy as "let's get Brexit done" but his slogan guru got the sack for thinking he was the boss.

Forced into it from his back benchers and a significant chance that he’d lose the vote as now all of a sudden Labour are demanding we open up more.

I'm not complaining if Labour are finally being an opposition. Hope Boris loses the next election for even thinking about vaccine passports. Libertarian yeah right. Fat cvnt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the same ‘libertarian’ who tried to curb the powers of the judiciary and wanted to write new powers for the executive to overrule judicial decisions into law.

Who has introduced a bill to curb the right to protest.

Who wants to make photo ID compulsory to vote in elections, despite next to zero evidence of voter fraud.

Who wants to effectively outlaw Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities’ way of life.

Who is introducing an immigration system that ties people to their employers, is unresponsive to labour needs within the economy and shuts out working-class migrants completely.

Who is working to undermine universities’ independence.

Who has attacked and wants to curb the ability of ordinary citizens to challenge governments *committing unlawful acts* through the courts.

Whose government, illegally, told state agencies “to ignore European data protection laws”.

Who tried to rush through a programme to force GPs to give up patient data to a centralised system under threat of punishment, without public consultation and against the advice and wishes of RCGP.

That’s the start of the list.

Make no mistake: this is the most authoritarian UK govt in more than a generation.
