All the people I know living in Australia seem pretty happy at the moment to be honest. Much happier than we are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Much happier than you are. Life has been completely normal for most of the country for months. Though actually now that I've typed it, it could just be normal life in this country is worse than house arrest in other countries.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nah, I'm pretty happy. I've done pretty well out of the pandemic.

Has anyone here seen whitty and titty in the same room, at the same time?

I rest my case.

How many people do you know living in Australia though? I’m not doubting that the majority are ok with the restrictions but the 5-10 people you know doesn’t really say much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Loads. I play semi professional cricket so have played with loads of Australians who have come over as overseas players. I also know about 10-15 people who have moved over there, a few to play cricket. So probably running up to 40 or more in total.

I regularly see highlights of their cricket matches on Facebook at the moment as the season has just begun. Not seen any of them complain yet. See plenty of people in the UK complaining about something to do with Covid or the government though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been in Sydney less than two months ago where I know a lot of people and was driven around by a local driver as usual. My organisation has an office there. I have to visit regularly.

Despite all this, this is the first time I'm hearing about this stuff at the scale suggested here. Coming from Candace Owens and Sat Nav.

I believe them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you feel about all of the travel, out of interest?

I used to travel intercontinentally a lot for work when I was in and around my early thirties. At the time, it seemed perfectly justifiable - necessary to perform the duties of the role successfully - but in retrospect I was lying to myself because I enjoyed it. Despite working in semi-developed countries I could have done far more remotely even back then, and I really should have done. Some trips I was pressured into by my boss, but I could have made the argument not to travel, and successfully.

You worry about the climate impact of the trips?

Greens between 8-10% of the vote on most polls.

1 seat, ridiculous system.

Sat Nav:

You asked me about the governments net zero plans the other day, and ive finally had a chance to look at it.

Its laughable.. for a start its not 90bn as their headline figure indicates, its 26bn, and 60bn "expected" from the private sector. So.. its a £26bn plan, and crossed fingers.

Their "440k jobs" doesnt wash either, it includes jobs making Electric cars, but doesnt account for lost jobs on ICE lines, so a huge chunk of those new jobs, arent extra, they are jobs existing staff will transfer to.

The money set aside for boiler replacements and air pump installations allows for the same rate of installations that we already see, Effectively they have put existing commitments in as if they were new policy.

They are also chasing the carbon capture fairytale, reliant on technology that doesnt yet exist.. i remember during brexit they pledged we would have a frictionless border on NI by now, thanks to then non existant technology... which still doesnt exist.

Its frankly a bit of a farce, spin and lies.

Imagine we were led by someone with some actual vision ffs, i could come up with a better plan ffs

Think in polls greens are over represented by a lot of people who will in the end vote Labour

But of course in a PR system more would actually vote Green
