I expect there might be a full disclosure from Boris at the opening of PMQs. It would be the only way to mitigate against the questions that are going to come his way during the session.

But now a bombshell of the express lane being unlawful too

This should be entertaining if nothing else.

I think he's gonna try and hide behind the investigation and wiff waff his way through what should be a complete roasting.

He will hide behind the 'it was necessary to get PPE during a pandemic' line which will get him through this particular PMQs.

Claimed he thought it was a work related event

posted on 12/1/22

He finally admits he was there. He regrets it and "apologises" yet says he thought it was a work event

It doesn't matter what happens or what he does. He isn't going to resign.

The party is over @BorisJohnson.

Resign.

I really think Labour should submit a vote of no confidence.

Win and they get an election. Lose and it shows the public that the Tories are behind Boris.

Wow, Boris admits to attending it

He can't sort out the important stuff if he's too busy partying and telling lies

Does anyone else find this absurd? A country to run, trade deals to make, education to fix, a health service to repair, and we are having an apology about a party... brilliant! Sort out the most important stuff first, huh? 🤦‍♂️
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I do find his behaviour absurd, and not at all appropriate for a Prime Minister and which proves that he is not suitable for the role.

I'm glad you agree.

Give him the chance to resign or be kicked out first

I think I prefer the smirking, shameless Johnson than this false contrition version.

I think we’ve basically given up on all the other stuff so why not focus on the party?

Not in the slightest.

It is possible to oversee the aforementioned issues, whilst at the same time holding those to account who broke the law.

Johnson

blokes the funniest PM Britain's ever had

he's worth keeping in power for the comedy value

Standards matter, the truth and the PM having integrity matters

It's not the biggest issue we're facing but highlights how unfit for the role Johnson is

He's gone, back benchers will be far too worried about losing their seats (especially after North Shropshire) to allow him to continue.

I have to say that with the biggest open goal in the history of mankind infront of him I thought Starmer was underwhelming (not for the first time).

Boris might not be the only party leader who won't be at the helm come the next GE.

Although it's getting very little media attention the left are getting progressively more annoyed about Corbyns treatment and at some point it's going to come to a head.

What exactly could Starmer have done differently? He did exactly what he needed, highlighting his lies and told him to resign.
