Admin, what do you make of the idea of using a Greasemonkey script to filter users or certain comment type, rather than the in-built site filter? Any issue with that?

Lol all these melts getting wound up on Twitter because of Desmond and Peter having the vaccine

Just because someone is anti lockdown doesn’t mean they’re anti vaccine, especially when the vaccine is our only way out of lockdown.

I’m anti lockdown but pro vaccine, I’m only anti lockdown because all evidence points to they don’t do anything so it just costs people’s jobs and other health issues / poverty for nothing. America didn’t really have a lockdown they didn’t get any more ravaged than us on a population basis probably fared marginally better think their highest deaths and cases were 350k / 4k whereas ours despite being 5-6 times smaller were 80k/1.5k

And Spain got absolutely destroyed despite having had the strictest lockdown, and we never really came out of lockdown in some area’s, Leicester’s been under top restrictions since like July and still got ravaged

Just don’t think they do anything personally, maybe they delay the inevitable for an extra week but the virus still hides for when we reopen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone is anti lockdown but arguing against it when the virus is running free is dangerous and stupid

And having a vaccine but complaining about other countries requiring you to have had it to enter is ridiculous imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Labelling valid arguments as dangerous & stupid is troublesome. There is plenty of conflicting data with regards to lockdowns, they are not this definitive solution that most have accepted them to be.

Either way, lockdowns are still the biggest national, social enforcement this country has seen since WWII so debating the costs & benefits is not only not dangerous nor stupid; it is in fact vital.

Well we’ll well NPE - enjoy out agreements because alliances will be ceased shortly.

Like the basques, your lot are a consistently difficult for us so I expect you to pick up three points or maybe another very dull 0-0 that we seem to do when facing top opposition.

Argument is never dangerous and painting your opponents as dangerous for viewpoint differences on a matter like this is a mistake,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, it’s dangerous, and the fact that Johnson listened to these “lockdown sceptics” or the “Covid Recovery Group” in the first place is why we have the highest death toll in Europe.

So if anyone needs “cancelling” it’s them.

I doubt that you could accurately summarise their opinions so I don’t think your analysis holds much weight.

Lol, I have no confidence we will get a win mate, Solsjkaer has a great record for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably 0-0 then I can’t see a United win at all.

Turns out one of my tutors at journalism school has come out as Pro-RA on The Times, as in he genuinely supported their expressions of violence. It is not a surprise, his leanings were well known, but still sickening.

Damn. Scary when it’s someone that you know

Meh, There’s not really huge difference in the death tolls between us Spain France and Italy especially when you factor in a) population (we have 20m more people than Spain) and b) we have the highest obesity rate of all 4 by far ours was around 29%. Plus C) how accurate are their death figures? Germany was known to only count a death if it was as a result of COVID, we do it if COVID is mentioned even as a secondary cause of death / contributor.

And factoring in the likes of Spain & Frances OTT Lockdowns & OTT Mask Rules (outdoors) they’ve seen no real benefit whatsoever

Lockdown or no lockdown masks or no masks we got ravaged this winter regardless.

We had more around 15k-20k more people in hospital in this second wave than the first wave despite never really coming out of lockdowns or some form of tier restrictions, wearing masks pretty much everywhere indoors for many months and social distancing. And better treatments/knowledge of the virus

And we still got absolutely facked, so where was the benefit

Oscar this has been explained to you and many others numerous times

The number of deaths we had at the start of this year we're very likely because of the relaxed measures before Christmas

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Peru vs Chile
Colombia vs Mexico
Florida vs Calfiornia
North Jutland in Denmark (11 municipalities 7 locked down the other 4 did nothing yet almost identical covid performance
The top 11 states in the US deaths-wise didn’t lock down the bottom 39 did lockdown and did worse

It’s really not that simple.

Furthermore, we have the 3rd worst record for influenza in Europe behind Poland & Romania.

IInfluenza, commonly known as "the flu", is an infectious disease caused by an influenza virus.[1]
Usually, the virus is spread through the air from coughs or sneezes.[1] This is believed to occur mostly over relatively short distances.[10] It can also be spread by touching surfaces contaminated by the virus and then touching the eyes, nose, or mouth.[5][10][11] A person may be infectious to others both before and during the time they are showing symptoms.

Sound familiar? It therefore stands to reason that we were also going to perform badly with COVID-19.

6000 cases today compared to just under 10k last Sunday,

Around a 40% drop, great news as previous Sunday was only a 11% drop. Vaccine is really having a huge effect we are starting to see on transmission levels now
