I guess if the economy hits the wall and people realise the costs of lockdowns and taxes we could see a shift?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That would be the hope for them but that's not something they should be relying on after 14 years of tory govt 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Another issue is I can't see what Labour would say as an alternative? They love taxing people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More taxes!!!!

That's true but I guess they have been used as a protest vote
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can get that but Labour are barely more than a pressure group these days anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's actually true.... they really need to do something or else the tories will dominate form the next 10 years at least
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's stunning, because while people said this about the Tories prospects versus New Labour that was at the start of their success. We are saying this after a decade of, at best, erratic governance from the Tories, it is not clear where Labour can make headway. Despite a bloody pandemic!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Starmer is bland to voters and after Corbyn Labour are slightly lost at Sea, ideologically.
Tories spending big and backing NHS is Labour land too, so what does Labour do now?
They went Corbyn and lost and now Starmer is more middle of the road, but that does not get glasto kids chanting.

No idea why we have so many parties - what's the point of Lib Dems or the Greens or Reform UK? The the SNP has an obvious cause for voters, the rest - nah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Lib Dems did have a point as a centrist party that could have played kingmaker, but their decision to so rabidly go against Brexit has lead them into a corner really because they've got no appeal for anyone other than FBPE weirdos. Reform are pointless now. Greens I guess can pressure Labour from the the left.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess but everyone is 'green' now anyway. The Tories just announced a green sovereign bond scheme. They are fully on board the sustainability revolution.
Greens just seem to be a party left for people who want a left wing party without the trade unions and leathery old socialists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is the green bond thingy to finance the reopening of t'pit?
