Kier Starmer needs to start showing off an identity and what his own policies would be

Plus he needs to start promoting his shadow cabinet so people know who they are

The shadow chancellor for example should have replied to the budget not him

This is massive reason why they are lagging imp

We've already seen intimidation tactics at the border

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sure I read on here that that was just made up nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
First I've heard that

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-eu-nireland-idUSKBN2A20XU

https://www.euronews.com/2021/02/02/eu-condemns-threats-of-violence-as-northern-ireland-gb-border-checks-suspended

EU and Irish PM backed it up but PSNI saying they have no evidence

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/no-evidence-of-paramilitaries-behind-port-threats-says-psni-1.4473998
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was the police report.

However, loyalists and All shades if unionism are actively campaigning against the protocol, but my take was it is limited and unions confirmed some alleged threats were not actually made.

Lord Trimble, who helped create the GFA , was a leaver and he highlighted how the Irish sea border broke the GFA constitutional rights guarantee, as it impacted the position of NI in UK.

Just as a land border annoyed Irish nationalists and broke the spirit of the GFA too.

I am merely commenting on how one border is ok to some and others have to suck up another border check scenario.

We've already seen intimidation tactics at the border

It doesn't mean violence of course but it certainly another step on the road to disharmony
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Language from the likes of Sammy Wilson hasn't helped.

The threats to port staff was (I'm sad to say) not entirely true. No one from the port authority reported anything to the PSNI, and the police themselves stated there was no evidence of paramilitary involvement. Despite counter claims from the DUP.

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/no-evidence-of-paramilitaries-behind-port-threats-says-psni-1.4473998

The DUP (and now the UUP & TUV) want the protocol to fail, and are claiming to be acting in the interests of businesses here. Despite ignoring the business communities concerns for the last number of years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sammy should shut up.

Unionists voted Remain in numbers too and can be seen in business, so it was not the case all pro-union folk ignored the business warnings.

At least half my social family circle are remain and union ist minded.

The UUP were not solid brexit and at least half of them.were remain.

Despicable pact.

Throwaway ignorant comments and politicising the Oxford vaccine to frighten their population to refusing it.

Try to block the vaccines coming to us by breaking the NI protocol.

Pull back when righty lambasted for it.

Sit back and watch what’s happening here with our success and continue to blame everyone else.

Realise they’ve fwcked up yet again and are costing lives while some EU countries break rank and use the Russian vaccine.

Throw away unused vaccines.

Change their mind and “steal” vaccines from Australia because well they’re all ok aren’t they.

Refuse to allow the U.K. to invoke granted powers to prevent a border issue with getting food into NI by requesting an extension.

Some bunch eh?

Rip the whole fwcking agreement up with the EU and enter enter a no deal.

Absolute shower.

Weren't the Germans deriding the Oxford one last week just to 180° this week. Along with the French?
Health Canada approved the Oxford one last week then some other official org. came out saying there isn't enough data on over 65s. Only to reverse that this week.

It's just politicians and politics now, man.

It's bleeding obvious the EU initially criticised the Oxford vaccine for anti brexit anti British reasons

If the same vaccine was created in an EU nation they'd be praising it from the beginning

I wonder if the reasoning is something like:

- Australia has very little covid atm so fewer people die from this decision
- Australia dont have much leverage over the EU and it wont harm Italy much specifically

So this is a safer block than with some other countries' exports

Never have. Never will.

The EU are sending Canada a load thus week that must be used within a month and another load next week that must be used by end of next month.

Hope we get the same discount as grocery stores give for stuff nearing sell by date. I suspect the answer to that will be neon, non, and .

That plus they’re saying that AZ hasn’t fulfilled its obligations to them yet.

I do actually agree that Australia’s levels are such that they can wait, but that’s not a fair argument really.

Have you seen the payments they're paying for starting and continuing the opiate epidemic in N.A. now they're finally in courts? Billions which is nothing compared to the damage they did to the country. Not to mention the emotional lives of relatives of big pharmas victims.
