Well they lived in America for a while, then he moved here before being elected in 2015.. since then he technically shouldn't have held one, and certainly he's been paying his international tax there, instead of here in his home nation, which employs him.
Very very shaky ground for me..

This really goes without saying but British politics and society in general has a toxic relationship with inherited wealth, education and social status. It elevates mediocrity onto an unmerited pedestal. Lots of liberal support for Sunak was based on him wearing a suit and tie.
I dunno what libs were supporting him tbh, anyone with half a brain cell knew he wasn’t some sort of super hero. I can become a chancellor and pledge to pay your wage with the country’s tax payers money.

Take students as an example, six students in a flat will share a £200 grant this year, all move on to their own homes/rentals the year after and collectively pay back £1200..
By contrast two people recently dating could this year be granted a combined £400 off their bills, move in together and only pay back £200

Means nothing as people aren't encouraged to test any more. As people lose interest and are encouraged less and less, there will be less testing over time.
If hospitalisations don't go down and official numbers for cases do, does that mean the virus has become more dangerous? Of course not, it just means less testing.
Only reliable figures are hospitalisations, ICU and deaths. And even hospitalisations aren't overly so. As people could catch Covid whilst in hospital for another reason.
Having said that, nearly everybody should have had Omicron by now and acquired enough immunity to not test positive for a while at least. So cases should be decreasing. It's just not possible to reliably measure this, as we're firmly in the "ignore the virus" phase of the pandemic
"nearly everybody should have had Omicron by now"
Maybe just the way this is written but WTF? I haven't, I work 'front line', out and about and, thankfully, I haven't had any symptoms in the 2.5 years its been about and at no stage have I been so dismissive about it considering I have older folk and asthmatics in my social circle.
I'd also think the only number worth worrying about is deaths, and 1500 in the last 28 days is nothing to be dismissive about.IMO.

I wasn't suggesting that people should go out and deliberately catch it but just with the sheer volume of cases (which will be grossly understated as I've already mentioned) it stands to reason that the majority of the population have had it.
Do a poll, knock yourself out. But more people will have now had Covid than not. That's all I suggested and i find it difficult to believe that anybody could have interpreted it in such a strange way. I wasn't remotely dismissive.
