Coal will be a sticking point.

World's 5th biggest producer and it's their second biggest export (mainly to China).

The miners always had Morrisons full support, will the new PM carry that on or wind down coal production?

They’ve said that they’ll continue to support the coal industry, including exploration as well as extraction of known deposits.

Which is schizophrenic whilst you’re also talking about wanting to make the country proud by becoming a world leader in renewables.

The Aus election is the first thing I've seen to give me any semblance of hope for the future of our planet..

Massive voting swing towards climate action by one of the biggest polluters per capita, in one of the area's most ravaged by climate change.. and not only do a more environmentally friendly party seem to be taking power, it looks like they may be beholden to even MORE climate positive independents and greens..

Wonderful stuff.

Shows how easy it is to manipulate people into believing a load of Bollux, well I guess they already did with religion, now they’ve done it with climate change

We’ve been told the planet is ending or on death doors for the last 30-40 years by lunatics. It’s only that the lunatics have become a bit more “formalised” over the last decade. They’re still looks with the same beliefs

Guess what we’re still here

“Fiction” = one of modern history’s strongest scientific consensuses, based on millions of hours of research and tens of thousands of peer-reviewed papers in atmospheric physics, atmospheric chemistry, meteorological science, paleoclimatology, oceanography, geochemistry, hydrology, limnology, ecology, etc. etc. all of which point in the same direction.

At this stage, those who deny the seriousness of MMCC are denying the very scientific method.

This is an incredible story, and further serves to evidence why this (and any other) government should keep its hands off the BBC and its independence:

Ms Dorries has previously criticised the BBC’s approach as ‘elitist’ and ‘snobbish’ and has accused it of being dominated by anti-Brexit, Left-wing staff, with too many ‘dull, boring, male and ageing wig-wearing men’ presenting programmes.

What's the opposite of misogyny?

Don’t really get this, partygate was over 2 years ago who cares, the BBC do need to move on

Or should the BBC be bringing up beer gate every 5 mins? Or the Labour war on Iraq?

Probably because it was only a month or so ago he lied at the dispatch box which has always been a resigning matter, and he oversaw an establishment that racked up 126 people being fined.

Think that is the core issue. Not that Johnson broke the rules (as millions of others also did). But the fact he continually lied about breaking the rules in the HoCs.

Understand the Good Law Project (who originally got the MET to investigate, as they weren't going to bother) have again taken action against the MET as apparently the MET only investigated 2 of the 6 parties Johnson attended.

IMO it's pretty much a waste of time as Johnson could suplex the Queen and he'd still not resign.
