What happens if you’ve got a English citizen, born in like Canada or Sweden and they commit a terrible crime here? Are we deporting them there too?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One guy was. Jack? The guy had been to Canada for holidays, but Brit ¢unts deported him here because his dad was Canadian.

Wonder how that will go down in court?

If its not legally binding then unionist vote will simply boycott the vote

I see Starmer has admitted that he is completely abandoning the 2019 GE Labour manifesto. When it was pointed out to him that during his leadership campaign he pledged to honour the policies on it he said (in so many words) that in life you will change your views on things as you go along.

For once I agree with him and I hope that next time the Tories change their mind on an issue we don't have to put up with childish u turn taunts from him and his party.

It would be rank hypocrisy.

He's was lying to win the leadership, I don't think anyone was surprised at the time or now really. He's been distancing himself from Corbyn's Labour from day-one. He is a massive hypocrite.

Have any of them actually said they think Brexit is going well? I thought the approach was to acknowledge it's not going well (kind of undeniable), but blame everyone else.

IF (and it is a big if) the Supreme Court do approve the legality of the referendum, even if it is advisory (like the brexit one was) it would be a pretty terrible look if as Fash suggests the unionists grandstand about boycotting the vote.

So he is, in a weird random tie-in I noticed his birthday is 23rd October, a date which was incorrectly used by Arab on this page for the Scotch Ref.

Predictably the govt are using this to play political games and blame Sadiq Khan

By forcing Cressida Diiick out he did more for the accountability at the MET than they have in 12 years
