During the referendum there were countless clips of gove, Boris and farage all saying we would be stupid to leave the single market.

Apparently we just love being gaslight by Tories

I genuinely thought pawl was going to go a whole post without mentioning Starmer
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't fully get Pawl's argument to be honest. No one is blaming Johnson for Pincher's groping as Pawl has implied. They are blaming him for putting him in a senior position whilst knowing about his past allegations.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Starmer sycophant Jenny Chapman was asked about why she was blaming Boris for this on Sky this morning. She replied with words to the effect that Boris must have known as Pinchers iffy behaviour was the worst kept secret in Westminster.

Fair play to Kay Burley (never thought I'd say that) she then asked her if Labour knew all about it why hadn't they reported him. That facked her good and proper.

I know Starmer has ripped up the 2019 GE manifesto so perhaps it's time to get some new policies rather than cheap digs at the government.

So it was ok for BJ to give a prominent role to a known pervert but Starmer is the real villain here for not mentioning it.

Johnson isn't responsible for Pincher being a(n alleged) shex offender.

He is responsible for continued and frequent poor judgement which includes promoting a man who he knew to be an unsavoury character with allegations of shex offending into a prominent position in the government of the United Kingdom.

That's clearly because Johnson doesn't think any of that is really a problem. He's a public schoolboy who hasn't grown up, this is all just japes.

Aren't they supposed to oppose bad decisions?

It all seems to have gone very quiet on kids getting the years education and social interaction that they lost back.

At one point after school classes, weekends and reducing the summer hols were all being mentioned but it's all gone quiet from the government.

Labour should be all over that like a cheap suit rather than constantly trying to score political points.

My diagnosis, rubbish opposition.

I agree, we need a stronger opposition to counteract public apathy

Could you imagine if Labour had opposed Pincher's appointment? Pawl would have been on here crying about how people deserve second chances and Labour are political point scoring.

Your ability to constantly shift the goalposts towards Labour and Starmer is very impressive.

There's been fuel protests today with convoys slowing roads down to around 20mph to demand reductions in fuel price.

The media has been sympathetic.

However if someone was to do something similar demanding a reduction in fuel consumption, then would that same media be sympathetic? I suspect not.
