I see the tories have conceded that if the snp win a majority in parliament then that’s sufficient ground for another Indy ref. Big move from them to be fair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have they?

That’s what they seem to be implying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So a tweet from the social media campaign of the Scotories?
Not sure Boris will be holding to that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s the official Twitter account of the Scottish tories. I’m sure Johnson will look to have the goalposts shifted, but it’s a very silly thing for the Scottish conservatives to tweet from their official twitter account.

-------------
If the Government give their consent, dont see the need for any legal intervention, unless they want to ajust the terms and conditions.

They’re obviously not gonna give their consent, who wants to be responsible for the break up of the country
If the English had an independence vote I wonder how much yes would win by?
I reckon at least 65/35.

Why would they give consent? Arab is suggesting they wouldn't, hence his argument the courts could get involved, which is certainly possible.

I would be on board

-----------------------
They got consent for the previous referendum, why not another they could get the same result, oil prices are not what they were, the grass is not always greener.
Official figures show the UK has recorded 3,030 new COVID-19 cases and a further 53 deaths in the latest 24-hour period

The previous referendum didn’t have Scotland polling more favourably to leave the Union like it does today as evidenced by their constant voting of the SNP, and Cameron sold them a promise that staying in the Union would mean staying in the EU.
The lack of spike in infections and deaths following schools opening and meeting others at their house is very promising, I’m really not up for more lockdowns after this.
Are we stacking up deaths not counted at the time over the weekend as well?
Seeing the death 7 day average fall off a cliff has been great tbh

You have a point, if the Tories were convinced they would win - they would hold one, but that's not what they think, understandably.
I should add - I believe there will be another referendum when enough people in England no longer care about the union and see indy Scotland as in their interest. This is already the view on parts of the right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By the same token Sturgeon has been accused (by many SNP voters/mp's) of not pushing Westminster hard enough for indyref2.
Like Boris she wants to be sure she'd win.
