A campaigner for EU citizens’ rights in the UK has said she is in a state of shock after the Home Office rejected her application for settled status despite her having lived in the country for more than half her life.
Dahaba Ali, 27, moved to the UK at the age of 10. She was born in the Netherlands where her mother was granted refugee status after fleeing the conflict in Somalia.
She works as a producer on BBC Newsnight and Politics Live as well as writing for various national print media. Ali is also a prominent campaigner with the organisation The3Million which campaigns for the rights of EU citizens in the UK.

I’d guess the problem is that if it is corrected does it create a two tier approach, where those with some sort of public profile are able to push through their application while those who don’t are not able to.
The question should be why the Tory government is targeting her.
That should be very concerning. Active std and campaigners should watch out now.

The Home Office sent her some e-mails to request more information but they ended up in her spam folder so she didn't see them. Hardly a national scandal.

The Home Office sent her some e-mails to request more information but they ended up in her spam folder so she didn't see them. Hardly a national scandal.

Only 2 months short of getting a telegram from his missus
Must have bounced back enough to go home
Seen it a couple of times now with older relatives on the way out. They get very ill and then recover only to pass quite quickly after the bounce back
A lot of people miss a few emails without such serious consequences.
But oh look, Columbo has solved it already. These idiots prepared this piece of news and put it out there without knowing that it shouldn't matter that she missed some emails.
