I do see where Nick is coming from, Kane is very unorthadox in his style but I can see he knows what he's doing at times, very lucky on the ball and seems to break through tackles, very much in the Shearer mould

I think he's class too BDK that's the funny things, goes to show how defensive spurs fans can get about him.

He's probably not in the top 5 on the ball in spurs starting 11. Eriksen, alli, dembele just off the top of my head are better on the ball.

You don't have to run past x players to score a goal to be considered world class. See Klinsmann, Shearer or Davor Suker

When are the votes cast for this thing?

My guess is, its before Kane scored all those goals in Sept, so his stats do not look as good compared to some of the other strikers.

See even this. You are using a few clumsy goals to base your opinion that he's a bit clumsy on the ball. What about all the stunning goals he scored ? Which required a touch of class. He scored a few fantastic goals against your own side Chelsea.

Not getting my kickers in a twist mate. My main gripe all along was I think you are downplaying his ability a bit. I think he's much better on the ball for what you give him credit for. I think some of the goals he he scored have been stunning. You don't score a goal like he did against Arsenal at the lane a few seasons ago if you weren't technically very good. The goal where he created space in the far left corner and smashed it into the top right hand corner.

hmm costa scored a similar goal last season and technically he wasn't up to much. Didn't even say he wasn't technical, his finishing is brilliant, you just went OTT and started contradicting yourself.

Costa hasn't scored anywhere near the variety of goals Kane has though. Costa is a great striker but Kane technically is much better.
