It's gutting because of what this season could have been. And I say could have because I just don't see enough in this team to finish top 6 let alone get promoted.
Had Garry Monk stayed and the transfer window been good, maybe could have been a brilliant year. Or even with a new manager if they did better work in the summer.

They need to learn and can start by bringing in some good players in January. A left back, and some pace would improve us a lot.

Investment last January and this could all be a different picture. Need to do better this time around.

How many goals had Wood scored after 10 games at Leeds United? By the way, Lasogga has scored 5, 1 every other game is not too shabby.

Lasogga will be better, than Wood, in fact has shown himself to be better when given the proper service.

Got to agree with the rest.

Nah, looks a player who will always be the shadow of what it was.

Not a patch on wood

Jamie (LIW) will agree to disagree with you on this one.

How is your mate Luke Murphy coming along this season?

To be honest, I’d be ok with a bottom half finish this season, as long as it meant that TC and the players can use the experience to make a serious challenge next season. The season before Huddersfield slumped to 19th. Now they’re in the Premiership.

I get that we’ve all gotten a little carried away given how well we started but it was always gonna be a big job for AR to clean out the combined stink of Bates, GFH and Cellino.

Besides, going into a mass panic and mashing the reset button every 3 months hasn’t exactly worked out for us in the past.

Happy with bottom half after we finished seventh and signed fifteen players...

Haha! Sorry LIW - I like you and your posts but the most important thing is not the playing side as recent years have proved. We've had great sides that have not been able to perform as a result of the back office and off the field shenanigans. Yes, on field should be most important, and I agree with the sentiment, but it's naive at best. You simply can't compete on the field if the off the field turmoil is dominating the club.

As for the 'TC out' club... Really? Really? He's the most articulate manager we've had for years. He's got the tactical nouse. He just needs time to adapt to the league and time to get another transfer window under his belt. He's probably the best manager in the Championship. We would be stupid to get rid. Keep the faith peeps. We are going up. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow... But the off the field stability suggests that, finally, UNITED are back... to the PREMIERSHIP!

Nah shadow totally disagree

What happens on the pitch ultimately is how a club is judge

And which sides have we had that have been great but not be able to perform because of off the field stuff ??

He's probably the best manager in the Championship.

Shadow, whatever toxic substances you are on are diminishing that already tiny brain cell of yours. Here's 5 things to be worried about.
1) Players who were great last season look sluggish and lost this season
2) TC's 'score the first goal' philosophy
3) Players looking jaded especially in the last 30 minutes
4) No-one who gets the team fired up when we go a goal down, or who puts us in control when we are a goal up
5) Never mind plan B. What is plan A.
If you are not worried, you must have been in a coma for the past month.

Speechless.

We allowed Direby back into the game in the last 30 mins by defending ever deeper and inviting them on. I said to my mate if we retreat any further the players will be having a pint in the Peacock. That's a coaching issue! We always needed a second goal and if Lassoga scores the sitter in the 2nd half, imo we would be looking at a different result. We have the flair to hurt other teams, but in the games where, when the fixtures come out, Millwall away, Cardiff away and in derbies, you knew would be a war of attrition, we are coming up short and that worries me!

Eddie I think that miss was offside anyway, should have buried it though.

We dropped our intensity and let them start to dominate. Lack of fitness is a major issue and I think that goes a bit to explain why they don't have a 2nd gear or not being fired up. Don't have the energy levels to.

The football was even worse under Garry Monk with all those 4 great Championship players in the side.

Keeping Monk may not have changed anything.

We've got to give TC a bit of time to sort things out because we have shown on occasion that we can be a very good side.

At some point people will start to listen to me, I believe that Alioski and others will start to come good but not under this coach, the skills in Cyprus, Europe and on Windows do not necessarily translate to being a good manager in the football league.
Chris Wilder probably would not have lasted five minutes anywhere flashy but his CV to me is much closer to what we need at this club done it in the UK and knows the job.
TC gotta go for me.

You want him gone? That's surprising. Maybe you should be more vocal about it.

Agree with LIW's thoughts, this has to be a learning experience.

Needs to be given a proper chance and by that I mean time and a number of transfer windows where he can choose the players HE feels he needs and retain the ones he wants to retain.

I do wonder whose choice TC was.....was it Orta's Bravo's or AR's?

Whomever it was needs to be fully supporting him now.

posted on 2/11/17

I think it was probably a joint appointment Jonty ..... one of them may have identified him, but hiring him I'd suggest from the link below was a board decision .....

http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/leeds-united-owner-radrizzani-deflects-blame-from-head-coach-christiansen-1-8835329

I know things aren't great now but sacking him, just repeats the issues of the past..... but he does need to learn and adapt - and quickly - or we'll drop down the table like a stone.

posted on 2/11/17

Sacking now, even though its still been our best start for donkeys years (somehow given the last month or so) just harps back to the Cellino era that everyone hated. It's not the time.

Don't get me wrong if we get beat badly against Brentford, Wolves and Boro we probably don't have much choice but TC needs to prove in the next couple of weeks that he can get a reaction.

posted on 2/11/17

Anyone who wants him sacked is an idiot.

Am far from convinced he can lead us into the play offs but I believe he’s got to be given time to try to do that

Keep the boss, sack Orta, buy players the manager wants and make sure they ain't cheap rubbish.

Need proper, serious investment.

We bought Siaz for 3m fooking mil!! It can be done.
