I’ve gone on record as saying Shinnie is dug meat as well btw.
Puts in a hard tackle now and again but that’s it.
If Mackay has said he won't play Tierney at RB then that would worry me enough not to consider him for the job.
I would have Robertson as a cert for LB. Then between Tierney and Paterson for RB.
If Malky starts with Robertson as LW he needs a kick in the hole.

So a bit like Scott Brown then?
Even as a Rangers fan it's clear Jack shouldn't be in the squad. He's not in the debate for CM (I wouldnt have him starting for Rangers).
And there has to be better options at RB than a clunky CM who loves a red card.
I’d prefer Robertson on the bench, a good game against lithuania every once in a while is masking over his frailties as a footballer.
He was bloody awful against slovakia and Slovenia.
The only case for Shinnie is that he can play in a couple of different positions.
As LB he's probably fourth in line (Robertson, Tierney, Douglas ahead of him).
As CM he's nowhere near the team.
But he'd be useful on the bench I suppose because he can cover both positions.

2 years ago I’d have agreed.
Foolish to suggest it now though.

So was Tierney
He was, the fact he was being played right back though offers a crumb of comfort.
We’ve seen what KT can do at left back or left centre back. Still to see Robertson take over from one of the worst Liverpool left backs of all time.
Going forward, Robertson does well against inferior teams but apart from the England home game at Celtic Park I’ve still to see him replicate that form in a big game.

Can’t think of anytime they’ve crossed paths so seems a bit mental.

comparing shinnie to brown is daft
brown was just excellent against Bayern munich.
jack isn't excellent against anyone and tbh no one in abdn was gutted he left
if we accept that not one of those players would get on Celtics bench (and I completely believe that) then a place in the Scotland team isn't justified.
you could say that, if you only took it back the last 5 games and discounted going out of the league cup.
i'm a bigger picture kinda guy.
rangers are fourth
out of europe
out the league cup
and in the past 5 domestic matches played 4/5 against bottom six teams.
u sitting there, giving us your pedro stats.
