Up another 50% in price today, that's doubled since I read about it an decided I wouldn't touch it with a barge poll.. Lol. Yeah they talk about almost instant high through put transactions per seconds I'd have spent much of the ICO money on H/W. Do you know why the network is so slow?

probably a combo of massive new interest and not many nodes.

I sent some iotas last week and it was almost instantaneous.

I read somewhere that they are in talks with various colleges to run nodes on supercomputers to really start testing their scalability.

Yeah that should have been addressed as the experience is quite different from the puff piece promo stuff they produce when showing performance data.

Nothing is perfect in crypto, just yet. Look how much bitcoin core has changed since day 1.... No one expected this turbo charged market, even the most optimistic crypto guy.

Yes, in an ideal world, the white paper and promos would work out of the box... But that's never gonna happen.

Until last week though, I could send iota in seconds, for free... 1 iota or 10G iotas.... "if" they get the scalability/security right, it will be a revolution. I don't even care of partial centralisation, as long as it is not country/government controlled.

The percentage of folk investing in the bubble is still tiny. It could hit 100,000 or 1,000,000 before sense prevails. I remember thinking it was bubbly when it was twenty dollars

Admin, how do you mean before sense prevails
Can't we all just jump on this gravy train and make some extra cash.

It's like picking a horse during the grand national. The crypto currency and blockhain technology won't dissappear but bitcoin could fall at any hurdle to be replaced by an alternative.

On paper iota looks good and has a high tps. So can see money moving to that. Bitcoin is as a practical defacto crypto currency may be quite misplaced.

Brummie.. That's quite risky. I've only put 200 on it as I wanted to see what the returns were like. 20% roi since Saturday..

Admin2 and I opted against getting bitcoin payments 2012-13 ish for some work we were doing. Probably worth millions now. Hindsight is wonderful

I only put $250/$500 at a time Mr'C'

I take a profit on it at around $100 when it looks like it's peaked and then wait for it to drop, before investing again. It's been quite a profitable tactic for me!

The human brain just can't comprehend logarithmic jumps. At twenty dollars I thought it was over cooked

That's in just 4 days.

Yeah nick, bitcoin.

Not life changing money by any means but it's crazy just seeing it rise every hour. You get the odd dip but since Saturday it's carried on rising.

I wonder what it'll be worth if I leave it for another month or so.
