Sorry but I think you'll find this is in fact a Bullish Starfish.
The guy who recommended EOS for me he was so far down the rabbit hole he was playing online games on crypto apps in which the winners got drops. Was so weird.

Anybody buying into the PayPal coin loopring (LRC)?
I just spent 0.5 ETH on 1602 LRC.
The PayPal connection suggests this may be a viable currency to rival ETH or even BTC.
Thoughts?

Actually, the guy who told me about loopring got the wrong end of the stick, and in doing so gave me totally incorrect information that I then posted.
There is no connection. He said PayPal had bought into loopring which was totally wrong.
Loopring have though created a PayPal like payment system that uses ETH based currencies & ERC20 tokens instead of cash.
I think this is what confused my mate.

Alt coins; link, ada, bqx, eth. Do people think these have good potential?

Everyone will shill you on the alt coin they think is the next best thing. The fact remains that in the last bear market, most lost 90% of their value and some never recovered.
If you want to jump into alts, just know that they are a gamble and do some research onto the gamble you want to entrust your money to... Check the team, see their previous projects, read the whitepaper etc.
btw - it is hard to consider ETH an alt now...

This is just what the market needed imho... BTC taking a prolonged breather while ETH and the alts have a catch up.
Feels like healthy growth.

I'm tempted to cash in now and wait for a big drop to re-invest!
Particularly pleased because I've got back $300 I've had stranded since jan 18!
Over 300% profit on most of my ETH trades now!
That's the problem with trying to time the cash out!
BTC hit ATH ($20k) then doubled in 2 weeks and hasn't looked close to going below $20k again.
