Anyone know how easy it is to get away with paying capital gains?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Make sure they are under the limit - £12k or something

----------------------------------------------------------------------
12k annually?

i believe in $1 doge

not a fkin clue what happens after that though

I don't know what to do. Do I sell now for a 69‰ profit? I surely should. But I'm a greedy te@t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So am I, I'm just holding for 12 months. I think I'd hate myself more for cashing out now and missing out on decent money than it crashing and me losing a couple of k.

Think you can lump capital gains into a household now, so 12k for you and your partner.

Also, I'm wonder how likely HMRC are to catch CGs on crypto?

well its gonna end up in your bank one way or another

Hmrc have surprisingly sophisticated detection techniques. If your bank gets credited with a sizeable sum eventually questions will be asked. Bear in mind if you don’t declare it knowingly you can be criminally prosecuted.

We had a client who made profits from bitcoin previously.

Our clients use it Busby, and the bookkeeper uses it. I’m not massively keen on it myself.

Do you do accounts yourself ?

I got questioned but did anticipate it and the this was years back. HSBC refused to accept the funds full stop and I had to use a different bank. They talked to me as if I was a drug smuggler with illicit fund's and wanted nothing to do with crypto. Awareness has increased greatly but there is no way the checks have relaxed, I'm sure they would've tightened if anything.

Once u have moved what u can feasibly transfer to sock accounts (trusted family etc) it's better to just bite the bullet. Nowadays I wouldn't be surprised if they questioned any large activity on your wallet (s) prior to them calculating what deduction is applicable, so even that may prove more difficult than it was.

The other alternative is to transfer loads of the profits to your crypto bank card, and just spend away on that.

Thinking of a cheeky punt on BitTorrent.

I think the Tron owner Justin Sun bought out the company and created the crypto to monetise the platform.

Very smart, and a lot analysists are very bullish on this one. I actually have £50 worth from dust collecting when I owned Tron.

Yeah I hate my job

Just wish I could go back six months and tell myself to stick £10k into doge.

Would be sipping pina coladas on a beach now
