Going off Mashinsky interviews its expected that there will be another big sell off in July and the 30k floor will be tested more seriously

Any meme coins or only ones that have proper backing etc? Very hesitant to go for meme coins, even if returns can be incredible

That’s a sound strategy

Tbh it sounds like a lot of people exited this time round

People that hodled through 2017 til 2021 decided to move everything out for the moment. I dont blame them but i chose not to

Nope probably £300-400 quid.

I just can't reconcile myself to see a utility in crypto currencies beyond anonymous black market currency.

Bitcoin doesn't have transactions rates that would support my local supermarket. The price isn't stable so it's no use as a currency.

Blockchain as a technology is interesting, but distributed ledgers don't really offer much more than a single ledger system. Especially as running a bitcoin wallet on your own computer means you are downloading some REALLY nasty stuff that's been put in the Blockchain.

Etherium smart contracts, is probably my one exception. I was involved in an IP sale recently that would have been smoother with a smart contract. As an alternative to escrow.

That said, it's all an exciting interesting technology. Spent two hours on the phone to some lads from a crypto startup yesterday. Can't help but get caught up in their enthusiasm.

Agreed none of it is functional currency atm

Id like to use it like that though

The guys i follow who are big fans of it tout it mostly as an inflation hedge alternative to gold and silver when they pitch its utility

There are services that swap btc for Amazon gift cards which my friends use

Ive paid people with btc as well for online services

I couldn't comment with any authority. I think there is more pressures in the downward direction than feel good bullishness. Crypto currencies have been around for 10 plus years now and nobody is really "using" them, beyond folk speculating.

Adders is a miserly old soul but he does know what he's talking about tech wise
