How can you be overdrawn, unless Bitcoin allows you to trade whilst overdrawn ?

I remember Admin saying something of that nature a while back that you're liable if it goes the other way. I might have misunderstood though.

You just loose your £40 Superb!

To look at it in context though Superb at the start of 2017 it was around $750 - it's currently at about $3,700 or just under.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok cheers Brummie. If that's the case then obviously I'll just sit it out and check it again in another year.

I recently checked my Coinbase account after a very long time. About a year ago I bought about £40 of Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum in total just to see if it would go up further and it's total value is now around £7 sadly. If it keeps getting lower then am I liable in any way ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Trading futures you used to be able to go into debit and owe more than you originally invested or your premium.
All that has changed now however with the advent of electronic platforms which will stop out your account before that happens,so the short answer is no!

It's all about the trading margin,or funds necessary to hold a trade open when they got low in old times the broker would telephone you old school to ask for more money.
Hence the term 'Margin Call' but it's all done electronically now and strictly limited risk,if you get sent a bill just throw it in the bin as it won't be enforced!

My immediate thought was anything that sounds to good to be true probably isn't.

Still know a few people making good money on crypto...

Just gonna leave what I have there and hope one day it's worth something

I still dabble in Etherium Classic.

It fluctuates betwen £3 and £4.

Buy at £3 sell at £4, simple.

The inevitable correction has now happened. Thank goodness I took my profits out yesterday!

Took mine out about 12 days too early.

Ouch. Commiserations Boris. Have done the same before so know how you feel. Are you going to dip back into the market, assuming the price keeps dropping or are you done with it?

The more I think about it, I reckon BTC will die off in the next few years due to transaction times and fees. Unfortunately, I can see the likes of Facebook's currency taking off as they have the money and resources to spend on making Libra work and reportedly have several big firms like Uber bought into it...

posted on 27/6/19

I have only been dabbling in ETC.

Buy if it drops below £2.50, sell if it goes above £5.

I've got a lengthy article on Libra I've yet to read. The Facebook aspect is enough to make it of interest, the Uber involvement is the exact opposite

posted on 27/6/19

Ha! So you weren't tempted by the Uber IPO then? Posting another $1bn loss a few months after going public is quite funny.

posted on 27/6/19

Uber, a company that loses $Billions every year, evades tax in every jurisdiction it operares in and has no tangible assets.

I'm surprised everyone wasn't on it.
