I am actually cousin of highest goal scorer and best penalty corner specialist in field hockey for Pakistan i.e Sohail Abbas.I might have been a professional football player in Saudi Arabian league not for three bad injuries I suffered at 21 years of age 8 years ago

My grandad played for Wolves, Burnley and Bournemouth back in the '30's and some great uncle or something apparently played cricket for Lancashire.
Not blood related, but my cousin married Pete Rodrigues who captained Southampton when they won the FA Cup in '76.

I associate the name Minter with the boxer and family from Crawley (used to live there - full of Chelsea fans).

Not very cryptic as Dele Alli is the only ex MK Dons and current Tottenham player.

They're decedents of the Essex Branch like me. There's a chap who has put a whole website together on them its quite interesting. I think the Crawley lot had a famous ping pong champion too.

World Cup 62 England keeper Ron Springett used to be our decorator.

Can remember when he brought round some of his England caps to show me and I had no idea what they were so half distracted I said just put them over there and I'll check them out later Ron. He wasn't too happy with that Good guy though
