I can only hope that Poch attached Mike Dean was a way of deflecting attention away from our performance. Surely he can see that the desire wasn't there. I don't mind losing but I do mind losing when the players don't give 100%. That wasn't great by any stretch but it is still only one game. Even when Arsenal were at their best back in the day we were capable of nicking the game once in a blue moon. The hype didn't help. How can we have been installed as favourites in a game we've won once in last 25 visits. Absolute joke! I think the players choked on that pressure. Move on, need a good performance in Dortmund now. Not sure whether I'd risk Kane based on that performance. He's not right.

Arsenal were favourites with every bookie in the country.

It was an even game, we deserved at least a draw no question, Arsenal created very little except when the officials gifted them opportunities.

No surprises Whinger didn`t see any of it.

Deserved a draw you looked more like conceding more than you did scoring you're just a bunch of bottlers

Don't think we can afford to write off the big away games. There's too many these days. Gone are the days of the Arsenal / Man U scrap at the top. There's 6 teams at the top now, that's 18 points. Lose all of them and you'd not only be losing the league but maybe Champs qualification. On average the points total needed to win the league is 85 points. Mins the 18 from losing the big away games and you're left with 67 - not good enough for CL. We need to win some of them!

Lol we were the better team and deserved to win despite getting lucky with the ref

Swings and roundabouts really. City were miles better than us 2 weeks but still needed the ref to win.

About time Mike Dean gave us something
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The statistics suggest it was a very even game, just because the biased pundits and commentators suggest Arsenal were better does not mean they were.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Statistics"! The only that counts for anything is the one that says 2-0.

I'm talking about the pundits. That's where the hype comes from and that's what the players pay attention to. They're not fussed about odds.

We were not our best but part of that comes from the officials influencing a dynamic of a game. Check out the statistics, it was a very even game. Try assessing the game without listening to the biased pundits and commentators, who just influence perception rather than telling a true picture.

Fair play Sandy, you are probably the only Spurs fan who saw this coming. Arsenal despite how poor they are rarely lose at home in the big games. This applies to all Top 6 teams to be frank because the refs always give you the 50 50s.

The honest truth is despite Dier being a weaklink you actually need more from your front 3 to score first away from home. You needed more from Alli who didnt make his good runs albeit stopped by a good Arsenal defensive performance.

You are carrying Alli at the moment particularly in away games to the Top teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree mate, Ali was poor, but he is always liable to come up with a goal, so he gets a lot of slack from me. Arsenal edged today, but it is just one game, and just three points in my book. I always look at the bigger picture. Sure it is nice to win the Derby, but it doesn`t really make a lot of difference to the overall season, other than a bit of bragging rights.

The media and supporters though go through this ridiculous meltdown rubbish, where all of a sudden Spurs are useless, and Arsenal are the best team in the world. When we know that both teams on their day are very useful, and so you can get any kind of result in a match of this magnitude.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Seriously ??? It’s not rocket science . When was the last time we won away at one of the big teams in the PL. until we get better ball players especially in the game changer key areas we will always struggle imo.
believe it’s 1 win in 16 away or something ridiculous.

I think you need to take off your white tinted glasses. Arsenal created the better chances, Laccazette was an inch away from scoring, Sanchez would of scored if it wasnt for Lloris in the second half and thats before considering the two goals we scored. How many saves did Cech have to make?

At the end of the day Tottenham always bottle it when it matters most, your away record against the top 6 is as bad as Arsenal's.

That aside it makes no difference to where Spurs finish. Spurs could lose every match to the so called top four every season for the next century, it makes no difference provided you win the return home games. You only get three points, and you only lose three points. Losing a dozen points a season to the top four away from home is no big deal if you win most of the other away games, which Spurs usually do. It is the silly home draws at home to the likes of Swansea and Burnley that could really hurt come May, although I think Spurs will easily do top three again this season.

So how come Spurs are still above Arsenal if they always bottle it? The obviously win a lot more than they lose, so they don`t bottle it at all do they fella.

Maybe we should bring in another striker in Jan. Kane is not always fit these days, and while I'm sure Llorente can do a job, he isn't at the moment when playing mainly bit parts. Couldn't do any harm to have 3 striker options anyway.

Llorente is awful, easily the worse striker I have seen in 60 years of watching Spurs, he may only be playing bit parts, but I have yet to see him actually have an effort on goal, and he has been at the club coming up to four months now.
